Believe, Dream, Inspire! Reflections results are here! Congratulations to winners and participants!
Believe, Dream, Inspire! Reflections contest resulted in 155 entries submitted by 108 BLE students in six different categories. 69 submissions came from Primary Division (Grades K-2) and 86 from Intermediate (Grades 3-5). Each work was judged by three independent judges selected for each category, who awarded points based on students interpretation of the theme, creativity, and mastery of a medium. In April, at the Reflections Awards reception, 1st -4th place winners, including kindergartners, will receive medals engraved with their names. All other participating students will receive ribbons. The submitted artwork will be displayed at the reception and returned to the students that evening. Invitations will be sent home in March. CONGRATULATIONS to all participants!

GRADE AT A GLANCE
Here, some third graders are sharing their thinking and making their thinking visible to others. In Reading Workshop, they are discussing evidence from the text to prove their theories about characters. In Writing Workshop, they are creating displays to share their understanding of how to write personal essays. The poster is their 10x2 Thinking Routine, guiding them to observe the image closely and describe with detail. Third graders have grown so much already this year! What an amazing group of students!

Listed below are qualifications to become a Bus Driver for Clarkston schools,
all drivers are hired as call in drivers, working their way up the seniority list to obtain an assigned Bus Route. We do provide a training program, you must first go to the Michigan Secretary of State office and obtain a Temporary Operator Permit, and a Temporary Instructional Permit with the endorsements listed below. We do not pay while training and we will notify you if during training you are not qualified for School Bus Driving. Once you have passed the CDL road test and all the qualifications, you will be hired on with a 90 work day probation period. Medical benefits and paid holidays are not provided to call in bus drivers, only drivers with assigned bus routes with 5 hours will receive benefits per contract. If I can answer any additional questions please give me a call at 248-623 8040. Thank you, Kevin
