Michael Rosenthal Ccntemporary Art
Gallery Program

The gallery opened in May of 07. We have been happily successful with our program and would like to share with you the many accomplishments we have
had with the artists we represent. Primarily, the gallery affords an opportunity for emerging and mid career artists to exhibit their work in a selective program
that stresses new ideas. Ideally, we are showing work that is both new and beautiful and at the same time affordable. We spend lots of time talking to the
public, educating about contemporary art and emerging trends, which is an important part of our program. Our gallery is located in the heart of Silicon Valley
and we have worked hard to inspire a new level of interest in contemporary art amongst our neighbors. This is the most exciting part of what we are doing.

In the eight months we have been open we have had 7 exhibitions, five of which have been two person shows, and two have been group shows. In addition
we have exhibited at the Bridge Fair in London and Red Dot in Miami. Our collector base is growing and we are still adding artists to round out our program.
We represent all of the artists we are proposing and would be extremely pleased to get a chance to exhibit them at the Affordable Art Fair. The Affordable Art
Fair is primarily important to us in that it will give our artist’s an opportunity to further expand thier ideas in a environment that anticipates surprises and great
art.

Please reference our web site for the artists resume’s and statements.

Hoping you find our gallery worthy of selection as you have our strong commitment to making our presence a positive one for the affordable art fair.

About MRCA
I do not have an ideological point of view to
express at the gallery but I do have a vision of the
exhibits that I want to see, and hope that others
might as well. As an artist, I see the gallery as an
extension of my art practice. A way to arrange
the world that defines the complexity, humor and
irony we all live with. “What does it mean” can
be answered by viewing the work exhibited and
taking responsibility to define its meaning. The
viewer’s interpretation of the meaning is the most
valid explanation of what the art is about. The gal-
lery sets the stage for this level of artistic democracy.
Not the artist, not the critics and certainly not the
gallery owner.

MRCA exhibitions will challenge the norm by

combining dissimilar words of art so the similarities
and contrasts create an experience that enhances
understanding. What I hope to do is to create art
lovers, not to impress my fellow art professionals
with expertise. An exhibition at MRCA will hope-
fully empower the general public while challenging
the professional art world as well.
