CreationofAngels
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: The Angels were created out of
'noor'(light).

AllthepraisesandthanksbetoAllh,the(only)Originator[orthe(only)Creator]
oftheheavensandtheearth,Whomadetheangelsmessengerswithwings,two
orthreeorfour.HeincreasesincreationwhatHewills.Verily,AllhisAbletodo
allthings.[HolyQuran:Chapter35,verse1]

AngelscarryoutGodscommandswithoutflinchingorhesitating.

ShapeofAngels
Allahgavetheangelsthepowertochangetheirshapes,anditispermissiblethat
theywouldtaketheshapeofaman,however,withoutthemalegenitalorgan.

GuardingthroneofAllah
And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne (of Allh) from all round,
glorifyingthepraisesoftheirLord(Allh).[HolyQuran:Chapter39,verse75]

.AllhishisMaula(Lord,orMaster,orProtector,etc.),andJibrael(Gabriel),
andtherighteousamongthebelievers,andfurthermore,theangelsarehis

Andifyoucouldseewhentheangelstakeawaythesoulsofthosewhodisbelieve
(atdeath),theysmitetheirfacesandtheirbacks,(saying):"Tastethepunishment
oftheblazingFire."[HolyQuran:Chapter8,verse50]

Bythose(angels)whogentlytakeout(thesoulsofthebelievers)[HolyQuran:

Deeds
Bythepenandwhatthe(angels)write(intheRecordsofmen).[HolyQuran:

(Remember!)thatthetworeceivers(recordingangels)receive(eachhumanbeing
afterheorshehasattainedtheageofpuberty),onesittingontherightandone

Butverily,overyou(areappointedangelsinchargeofmankind)towatchyou
[HolyQuran:Chapter82,verse10]

For each (person), there are angels in succession, before and behind him. They
guard him by the Command of Allh. Verily! Allh will not change the good
condition of a people as long as they do not change their state of goodness
themselves(bycommittingsinsandbybeingungratefulanddisobedienttoAllh).

Certainly,OurMessengers(angels)recordallofthatwhichyouplot.[HolyQuran:
Chapter10,verse21]

Or do they think that We hear not their secrets and their private counsel? (Yes
We do) and Our Messengers (appointed angels in charge of mankind) are by
them,torecord.[HolyQuran:Chapter43,verse80]

ThisOurRecordspeaksaboutyouwithtruth.Verily,Wewererecordingwhatyou
used to do (i.e. Our angels used to record your deeds). [Holy Quran: Chapter 43,

Hesendsguardians(angelsguardingandwritingallofone'sgoodandbad
deeds)overyou[],untilwhendeathapproachesoneofyou,OurMessengers
(angelofdeathandhisassistants)takehissoul,andtheyneverneglecttheirduty.

And(remember)whenyourLordsaidtotheangels: "Iamgoingtocreateaman
(Adam) from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. [Holy Quran: Chapter

Prostrate
So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me,
thenyoufalldownprostratetohim."Sotheangelsprostratedthemselves,allof
them.[HolyQuran:Chapter32,verse72to73]

Believers
Thosewhoselivestheangelstakewhiletheyareinapiousstate(i.e.purefromall
evil, and worshipping none but Allh Alone) saying (to them): Salmun 'Alaikum
(peacebeonyou)enteryouParadise,becauseof(thegood)whichyouusedtodo
(intheworld)."[HolyQuran:Chapter16,verse32]

Disbelievers
(Itwillbesaidtotheangels):"Assemblethosewhodidwrong,togetherwiththeir
companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. [Holy Quran:
Chapter37,verse22]

On the Day they will see the angels, no glad tidings will there be for
theMujrimn(criminals,disbelievers,polytheists,sinners,etc.)thatday.Andthey
(angels) will say: "All kinds of glad tidings are forbidden for you," [None will be
allowed to enter Paradise except the one who said:L ilha illAllh,"(none has
therighttobeworshippedbutAllh)andactedpracticallyonitslegalordersand
obligations].[HolyQuran:Chapter25,verse22]

Blowingofthetrumpet
AndtheseonlywaitforasingleSaihah[shout(i.e.theblowingoftheTrumpetby
theangelIsrfilSarafil)]therewillbenopauseorendingthereto[tilleverything
willperishexceptAllh(theonlyGodfullofMajesty,BountyandHonour)].[Holy
Quran:Chapter38,verse15]

Otherdutiesandresponsibilities

Angels carry out various duties and responsibilities. Some are responsible for
mattersoftheuniverse.Someareresponsiblefortheseas,orthemountainsor
the wind. Some angels guard, accompany human beings and others are
messengers.

And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by
(Allh's)Command.[HolyQuran:Chapter51,verse4]

Verily,therecitationoftheQur'nintheearlydawniseverwitnessed(attended
by the angels in charge of mankind of the day and the night). [Holy Quran:
Chapter17,verse78]

AboutProphetJesus(AS)
AndmentionintheBook(theQur'n,OMuhammadSAW,thestoryof)Maryam
(Mary), when she withdrew in seclusion from her family to a place facing east.
She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent to her
OurRuh[angel Jibrael (Gabriel)], and he appeared before her in the form of a
man in all respects. She said: "Verily! I seek refuge with the Most Beneficent
(Allh) from you, if you do fear Allh." The angel) said: "I am only a Messenger
fromyourLord,(toannounce)toyouthegiftofarighteousson."Shesaid:"How
canIhaveason,whennomanhastouchedme,noramIunchaste?"Hesaid:"So
(itwillbe),yourLordsaid:'ThatiseasyforMe(Allh):And(Wewish)toappoint
himasasigntomankindandamercyfromUs(Allh),anditisamatter(already)
decreed, (by Allh).' "So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a far
place (i.e. Bethlehem valley about 46 miles from Jerusalem). And the pains of
childbirthdrovehertothetrunkofadatepalm.Shesaid:"WouldthatIhaddied
beforethis,andhadbeenforgottenandoutofsight!"Then[thebabe'Iesa(Jesus)
orJibrael(Gabriel)]crieduntoherfrombelowher,saying:"Grievenot!YourLord
has provided a water stream under you; "And shake the trunk of datepalm
towards you, it will let fall fresh ripedates upon you." "So eat and drink and be
glad, and if you see any human being, say: 'Verily! I have vowed a fast unto the
Most Beneficent (Allh) so I shall not speak to any human being this day.'" Then
she brought him (the baby) to her people, carrying him. They said: "O Mary!
Indeed you have brought a thingFariya(an unheard mighty thing). "O sister (i.e.
thelike)ofHrn(Aaron)[notthebrotherofMsa(Moses),buthewasanother
pious man at the time of Maryam (Mary)]! Your father was not a man who used
tocommitadultery,noryourmotherwasanunchastewoman."henshepointed
tohim.Theysaid:"Howcanwetalktoonewhoisachildinthecradle?""He['Iesa
(Jesus)]said:Verily!IamaslaveofAllh,HehasgivenmetheScriptureandmade
meaProphet;""AndHehasmademeblessedwheresoeverIbe,andhasenjoined
onmeSalt(prayer),andZakt,aslongasIlive."[HolyQuran:Chapter19,verse
16to31]
