Step by step Workshop for the submission of the European HORIZON 2020 program
Course Overview: The EU R&D Program provides funding dedicated to promoting innovation and research in Europe and beyond. The FP7 program in which Israeli companies were granted hundreds of millions of funding is ending, and being replaced by the HORIZON 2020 program. HORIZON 2020 is an extensive seven year program based on the EU's strategy for 2020 in all areas of life. The program brings together companies and organizations from both research and industrial areas in the EU and other countries. This important program is a unique window of opportunity for Israeli companies in order to get funding for promoting innovations while forming multinational cooperations and penetrating EU markets. It is important to note that companies and organizations who participate in the long, multi-step process, have an approximately 25% chance of being included in the HORIZON 2020 program. Course objectives: This course is designed to address the challenges of the HORIZON 2020 program and helps increase the chances of being included in the program by providing both theoretical and practical knowledge, based on many years experience. The course will teach the three steps model: creating a map of opportunities and projects, formulating a proposal and proposal submission. The participant will be exposed to a progressive way of thinking connecting the needs of the company / organization along with the needs and vision of the European Union. Participants will learn to analyze the requirements and initiate activities to fit these requirements. The course will examine successful projects and extrapolate lessons learned from them so as to determine what is required for a successful proposal. The course is a practical workshop that allows participants to actually start the preparations needed for their companys / organizations participation in HORIZON 2020 and to address the programs calls. Target audience: Managers, researchers, engineers, product managers, business development and marketing personnel, and anyone who is considering going into HORIZON 2020.
