Mostovik Scientific-Industrial Company (SIC Mostovik) is one of the largest design and construction corporation in Russia which performs complete cycle of contract works: from survey, design, approvals obtaining to construction and assembly works and the location commissioning. The Company has designed and built about 350 transport, special-purpose and civil facilities of different complexity level in Russia and outside it. The Company includes design as well as construction and assembly departments, Steel Structures Plant with the process equipment which is unique for Russia which enables fabrication of most complicated structures with the machine-building accuracy, Reinforced-Concrete Plants, Mechanization Department (more that 550 special-purpose machines), Repair and Mechanical Plant, Special-Purpose Crane Plant (max. capacity 370 tons), Road-Construction Department and other auxiliary departments. SIC Mostovik participates in the implementation of federal programmes on the preparation for 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and 2012 APEC Summit in Vladivostok (design and construction of the worlds largest cable-stayed bridge to Russky Island across the Eastern Bosporus with a record-breaking channel span 1,104 meters).

SIC Mostovik production facilities include a powerful Mechanization Department providing machines and equipment for performing civil, assembly and road-construction works to all of the Companys construction sites. The Departments fleet exceeds 550 pieces of equipment placed in heated garages, a repair team capable of ensuring up-to-date service for different types of trucks.

The Mechanization Departments fleet includes the entire complex of the vehicles and equipment required to perform construction works: wheeled, caterpillar and truckmounted cranes with the capacity from 16 to 250 tons; special-purpose vehicles for the transportation and supply of concrete mixes and fuel; a complete set of earthwork and road-construction equipment; pile-driving and drilling equipment; vibration plants, rod and pipe Diesel hammers, stand-alone power generators, all-terrain and urban buses for staff transportation. The Company actively cooperates with the worlds leading construction machines manufacturers: Liebherr, Tadano, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sumitomo and many others.

Operational experience

SIC Mostovik offers unique equipment for large-depth (up to 100 m) largediameter (2.2 m) drilling works as well as skilled staff for the equipment operation. The drilling equipment was applied during the works on the erection of the unique bridge crossing to Russky Island over Eastern Bosporus in Vladivostok. To make pile foundations for bridge piers, trestles and foundation of the 320-meter bridge tower nine drilling plants manufactured in China, Korea and Japan were used. The total drilling depth of M-6 Tower pile foundation was 7,650 meters including 4,590 meters in the most complicated rocks of the Eastern Bosporus

bottom (abrasion factor 190, maximum hardness 200 MPa). Mostovik Company was Russias pioneer company to apply reversing plants in bridge building which facilitated drilling the deepest wells (up to 120 m). All in all to erect the tower foundation 120 auger piles were made (diameter 2 meters, depth 6277 meters). The volume of the concrete laid is 12,500 m3, the total weight of the reinforcement frames exceeds 1,000 tons. All the works were performed on a 120x60 meters plot where a large quantity of equipment was concentrated 6 high-performance reversing drilling

machines, 3 casing oscillators, 6 cranes (capacity 100250 tons), more than 40 special-purpose auxiliary machines. Despite the extremely confined conditions the works were held as per the logistics solutions ensuring non-stop operation as well as meeting the contractual drilling schedule target times. All the activities were held in parallel: drilling, fabrication and assembly of the reinforcement-bar skeletons, piles preconcreting activities, concrete casting.

Reversing drilling machines RCD-300 manufactured by Kalicson, Sam-Jin, Buma Sambo. The Machines are designed for making auger piles (diameter 2,000 mm). Are used for drilling in any strength category soil. RCD operating mechanism is equipped with the cutting tools as per the soil category. Drilling is performed using a rolling cutter bit with the air-lift backwash.

RT-300 casing oscillator manufactured by Nippon-Sharyo Co. is used for drilling works in any soil category: up to strength Category 9 (using rope and jump drilling technique). RT-300 may be applied both in combination with RCD drilling machines and independently, using the casing oscillator as a stand-alone piece of equipment. The soil is removed from the well with a grabbing excavator.

KATO KB-1500R drilling machine is designed for making auger piles with the diameter of 1,000-1,500 mm. Is used for drilling works in any soil category: up to strength Category 9. The machine is self-propelled. KATO KB-50 THC drilling machine is designed for making auger piles with the diameter of 1,000 mm. Is used for drilling works in any soil category: up to strength Category 9. The machine is selfpropelled.

Kasagrande 180HD drilling machine is designed for making auger piles with the diameter of 1,0001,500 mm. Is used for drilling works in any soil category: up to strength Category 9. The machine is self-propelled. Nippon-Sharyo ED-5500 drilling machine is designed for making auger piles with the diameter of 2,000 mm. Is used for drilling works in any soil category: up to strength Category 6. The machine is self-propelled. In case of using with Hirabayashi HCR-240 casing oscillator it may be used on soils with the maximum strength Category 9.

DRILLING EQUIPMENT
Yutong YTR-260 drilling machine manufactured by Yutong Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. is designed for making auger piles with the diameter of 2,000 1,500 mm. Is used for drilling works in any soil category: up to strength Category 9. The machine is self-propelled (on Caterpillar chassis). The power rotor ensures two-mode operation: high-torque low-speed and low-torque high-speed. The machine is characterized by a high propelling power, high efficiency and is suitable for construction works in permafrost with pebble interlayers where normal drilling is impossible.

DRILLING EQUIPMENT
Standard-frequency vibro-driver 120 HD manufactured by PTC. Is designed for works with heavy shutters and casing strings with the maximum weight of 90 tons, max. diameter of 3,200 mm. Is characterized by supreme accuracy and high performance.

High frequency vibro-driver 23 HF31 manufactured by PTC. Is designed for works with sheet piles, H-bars (max. length 18 meters) and pipes (casings) with the max. diameter of 620 mm. High-frequency vibrodrivers enable avoiding resonance which may damage nearby buildings or structures.

DRILLING EQUIPMENT
High frequency variable amplitude vibrodriver 48 HFV manufactured by PTC. High-frequency vibro-driver with hydraulically-adjustable eccentricity is designed for work with sheet piles and H-bars with the max. length of 20 meters and pipes (casings) with the max. diameter of 1,300 mm. Amplitudecontrol function enables minimizing the vibration dissipation. Moreover, the destructive vibration supplied to the crane is virtually zero which allows the contractor using telescopic jibs on mobile cranes.

Boundary parameter values of 48 HFV and 23 HF31 vibro-drivers do not exceed international noise-pressure and vibration limitations which allows their application in densely-populated cities, near historic buildings or buildings where sensitive equipment is mounted. Hydraulic vibrators application enables multiple use of immersion elements.
