Smoke continues to make my jobs easier with each release. The creative tools and workow improvements help with productivity and I cant imagine working on my current projects without Batch FX.

With expanded digital media support: RED les, Panasonic P2 and Sony XDCAM file formats, and expanded Apple QuickTime application program codec support, as well as support for EDL, AAF, OMF, and FCP XML, workflows can be streamlined. Autodesk Color Management Eliminate the confusion over color values and make sure that everyone across the Autodesk visual effects and nishing software pipeline is working with and approving images with the same color values. Autodesk Color Management tools provide a consistent and accurate color rendition of lm-originated material. This integrated solution is built upon high-precision spectral analysis of common print lm stocks to achieve high-quality print simulation and high-delity color space conversion in the form of a 3D lookup table (3D LUT). Share 3D LUTs with Autodesk Inferno, Autodesk Flame , Autodesk Flare, Autodesk Lustre, and Autodesk Toxik software products to help make sure the color and lighting of your shots match and reduce the need to reapply color correction. Color Correction For sophisticated color correction, Smoke offers fast, accurate color isolation, correction, and matching. The intuitive color-correction interface has advanced capabilities to adjust shadow, midtone, and highlight regions of the image independently. Powerful Keying Capabilities Smoke now has Autodesks comprehensive keyer, the Modular Keyer. The powerful Modular Keyer provides an extensive and exible keying toolset in a customizable processing pipeline environment. You can work at high resolutions and bit depths, from 8-bit to 10-bit to 16-bit floating points as well as select and arrange keying tools to pull your most precise key. Motion Tracking and Stabilization Fix camera shakes and track moving elements for seamless composites. High-Performance Storage and Input/Output (I/O) With support for standard le systems, you can store source footage and rendered intermediates on a SAN or a NAS storage device as well as Autodesk Stone Direct -attached storage system. In this conguration, artists will experience virtually instant Publish and Soft-Import operations, allowing for sharing of media with third-party applications and minimizing the duplication of data. The Stone Direct storage system provides the performance needed to work natively with high-resolution footage, from SD to 2K.

Now that the Modular Keyer is in Smoke, a lot of my Flame workflows are available to me from the timeline, which makes Smoke an even more powerful FX and grading tool.
