Ongoing Research 1 Nanomaterials-Nanofiber: Electrospinning is an oldest method for unique fibre production for textiles and other applications. Now a day this technique is developed to fabricate the nanofibrous structures by optimizing various parameters such as solution viscosity, surface tension, needle size, applied voltage etc. This instrumental setup was assembled in our nanotechnology department in 2011 to fabricate the porous interconnected nanofibrous structures for biomedical, Waste water Treatment , solar cell, Energy and Environmental applications etc. Based on this technique, we have fabricated sustained drug delivery band aid, silver nanoparticle incorporated nanofibrous membrane for water filtration etc. Availing the said fabrication technique, we have presented a paper in DST-FICCI, New Delhi on Nanofibrous Scaffold for Therapeutiic Applications. Ongoing work is on Sustained delivery of anticancer drug using nanofibrous scaffold and on Biodegradable Nanofibrous Scaffold for Tissue Regeneration. We are very intended to use this novel technique for various applications. 2. Dispersion in Metal oxide nanofibers. 3. MEMS based Microheat pipe for reduction of heat is in progress in collaboration with Lasers and Electro Optical Engineering laboratory at ISRO, Bluru.
