Year 11 Whole School Intervention Programme 2013-14

Intervention Strategy SPSLT, Monday 10 September, identifying key students in Year 11: meeting with JMT; AVB; TC; AJQ; MRB; HoHs; GN; BAMs to identify key 5 A*C EM underachievers from Year 10 into 11 data who will be the focus of the main interventions. Autumn Term 2013, Mentoring: a system of mentoring of key disengaged 5 A*-C EM underachievers based upon gender. GEMS and enhanced mentoring of Year 10 and Year 11 boys Autumn term 2013, Coursework CA Support: Ensure that all students CA work is of an appropriate standard and handed in on time. October 2013, Zero Tolerance/preventative work: continue to support departments by offering to remove students whilst also intervening early to prevent disengagement. Leading up to June exams: Maths 1:1 Tuition January 2014, Intensive Progress Interviews with JMT: To be held with JMT; MRB; AJQ & HoHs, focused upon the key 5 A*-C EM underachievers. February 2014, Publish Study Support materials on the VLE and publicise L drive subject information and resources (especially English) February half term, Revision sessions in M3: In February plan six M3 sessions based on key revision strategies, including Revision Boxes in TG rooms.
