I have two favourite TV programmes, CSI and Between Friends. I try to watch them regularly. I like Turkish TV series and soap operas. The actors in them are very handsome, I love watching them. The stories are full with unexpected twists. I am looking forward to the new adventures. But I hate reality shows. They are full with stupid people, profanities, with nothing. I don like docusoaps, like Really World nowadays. The participants of these programmes are followed by cameras everywhere all day long. Local commercial radio stations offer information on local events and affairs, so many people prefer listening to them to national radio stations. If I worked for a TV station, I would broadcast knowledgeable TV programmes for all age-groups. I sometimes watch different sitcoms, which are regular TV programmes which show the same characters in different amusing situations. I like watching several quiz shows, because I can learn about it a lot on different topics, such as history, geography, biology, literature, films, sports. I think, TV, computer, in addition the mobil phones kill social life. We, people are always talking on our mobile phones with each other, or send e-mails each other replacing the personal contact. It is very bad. If we dont do this, we are always sitting in front of TV or computer, and always looking at these appliences. On the other hand, people often talk about for example soap operas, films, stars etc. It is good. I like box-office movies. It is possible to rent DVD-s in my town. It is cheaper to watch the films this way, than we would go to the cinema. DVD-s are better than video cassettes because they are smaller and they dont stretch, and they contain several extras and bonus materials as well On the other hand it is more exciting to watch the films in 3 D in the cinema, with high loudless. I often listen to the original soundtrack, especially by the downloaded films at home. I enjoy listening the pronunciation and the voices of actors, and I can improve my language knowledge. I have a 6-year-old son, Olivr, so I have only a little freetime. I seldom go either to the cinema, or to the theatre. I prefer the downloaded films at home. This year I try going to the theatre more often. Earlier I always used to sit in the stalls, from where I could see the whole stage. On the other hand, balcony is ideal place for enjoying the sounds the most. In the interval we went to the bar to have a drink or a snack, where we could talk about the performance with my friends. Latecomers are allowed to enter only in the interval as they would disturb the performance. In the theatre or cinema an usher(ette) checks the tickets, shows people where to sit and sells programmes. The main difference between a theather and a cinema is the building. Theatres usually are nice old buildings, while cinemas are only rooms in ordinary buildings and big plazas, where you go to not only for the sake of the film. You can have a drink in a cafe or pub, you can play games in the amusement arcade and do some window-shopping. However, people very rarely dress up when they go to the cinema. I always watch the previews before going to the cinema. There are affordable on the net. I dont like watching art films and action films. I like romantic and horror films. I have a lot of favourite actors and actresses. They are American. I dont have any favourite director. Hungarian films arent so popular nowadays, maybe they lack advertising. There are film critics, who inform the audience about the good and bad qualities of films. There are film festivals, like the festival in Cannes or the Golden Bear festival in Berlin. Actors, actresses, film makers are awarded. The most famous award is an Academy Award, the Oscar. The Golden Globe Awards are given in the US every year to th ebest films and TV programmes and the performers in them.

I love reading. I like books better than book adaptations, because when Im reading a book, I can imagine what the characters look like, the places they live in. We have a cable TV at home, so we can watch lots of channels, both in Hungarian and in foreign languages. Satellite TV offers even more channels than cable TV. We dont watch newschannels, because they are full with violence and bad things. We often read the news on the net.

A well-known persons life is very hectic and it is in the spotlight. They are always recognised, photographed and asked for autographs. Stories about them are usually untrue. I would never take up a job in show business. I know some children, whose parents are famous. These children are full with alcoholproblems and drug-related. On the other hand they get to know many influential people whon can help them when needed. People can go to a circus to enjoy themselves and watch the performance of acrobats, animal trainers and their animal, clowns. I know some museums, like Museums of Fine Arts, National Museums, Museums of Modern Art, Postal Museums, Science Museums, Museums of History, Design Museums and so on. I like exhibitions on ancient history. I was 6 years ago on the exhibitions of Titanic in Budapest, it was very exciting and interesting. I am interested in pop concerts, though I never was there. Many concerts are organised in Budapest, like Sting, Madonna and other Hungarian performers. It can be very enjoyable. You can buy several CD-s, which have longer lives than cassettes and provide better quality. The main reason why a lot of people copy CD-s is that the price of the originals is so high.
