Mercedes is a very good company when it comes to customer service. They may no l onger be the super expensive cars they once were, but they still treat their cus tomers like they are. (Though I can't afford one.) I remember I went with my uncle to a dealership because he needed some maintenan ce done. They were busy with another client, but sat us down in this fancy room, with free snacks and drinks. This probably doesn't set the company back very mu ch but in a world where it feels like everybody is trying to get every penny fro m you it feels nice. permalink parent [ ]Aemilius_Paulus 3 points 1 hour ago They may no longer be the super expensive cars they once were Can you explain? It's borderline ridiculous, to be honest, but I'd buy another so it must work. permalink parent [ ]Stringtheory5 2 points 1 hour ago* Like pretty much everyone else but Tesla Motors, Mercedes-Benz dealerships are i

ndependently owned and operated. While one dealership may be nice and friendly a nd have ice cream, the other one across town may not be so nice and just offer y ou water. Plenty of discrepancies exist among dealerships that carry the same br and. Some give loaners, others don't. Some have a shuttle service, others don't. Some have breakfast, some only do lunch. It's the dealership, not the auto manu facturer. parent [ ]timberwolvesguy 3 points 1 hour ago Luckily, I'm not the one who gives the car to its owner, but I'm on the hook if they don't think it's up to par. You'd be amazed how outrageous people get with their expectations. I've had a 10 year old E320 come in looking like someone gav e birth in it, skinned baby calves, and mutilated small children in it. Then onc e we get everything clean, minus the blood and shit stains in the floor, the own er of the car will complain that there is still blood and shit in the floor. Bit ch, if you didn't care about your car for the last 10 years, don't expect it to come back looking like it just rolled off the show floor. Some people... But even though I put up with the occasional dumb ass, the rare cars that come i n make it all worth it. We get about 5 SLS AMGs throughout the summer, Mustangs, Challengers, M3s, and the like. Plus that, we sold an SLS AMG Black Series last month for a whopping $300k. The guy traded in a 2013 SL63 AMG and a Porsche Cay enne GTS. Apparently the guy has $6mil in cars. I wish I was him. So the job def initely has its perks to offset the jackasses. permalink parent [ ]FilthyMonkey3 2 points 1 hour ago Great, thanks a lot Obama! permalink [ ]ericjover 2 points 1 hour ago <firstworldrage>WHAT THE FUCK!! THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS MOVED MY MOTHERFUCKING SEAT! !!</firstworldrage> permalink [ ]trenchtoaster 2 points 1 hour ago I had a personal first world problem last week. I pooped and it left a crusty stain on the side of the toilet bowl. My maid wasn 't going to be back for 6 days. Peeing on the stain didn't seem to help. I waited the 6 days. permalink [ ]fleepoman 3 points 3 hours ago I love it when they leave those notes in my AMG after my tuneups. If you spend 1 00k on a car, your patronage better be appreciated. permalink [ ]someonepeedyourpants 1 point 2 hours ago How many cars do you have? 30's Jag, 60's merc, are you a collector? permalink parent

[ ]holmberg18 2 points 2 hours ago I was a valet for a couple of years. I'm 6'4'', so I had to move the driver's se at in this lady's bmw x5 in order to drive it to her. Once I got out to help her inside her car, she began to scream at me that I moved her seat that was set to help her "back problems." Had I known to leave it that way, I would have oblige d. But no, apparently I'm the one to yell at. Little did she know that the seat in that particular car can be programmed. permalink [ ]alphamini 2 points 1 hour ago Look at that subtle off-white coloring; the tasteful thickness of it... B: There is a la rge number of owners that dont know how to set the memory function let alone rec all which preset is theirs. C: Older Mercedes used to have "key dependent" setti ngs that would not only have 3 completely independent seat presets per key, but would also recall the station/input you left the audio system on and also your c limate control settings. This apparently confused a lot of people since they did away with this feature altogether. permalink [ ]Ferociousaurus 1 point 2 hours ago I will say that when I lend my car to people, I find it inordinately annoying to fix my seat and mirrors afterwards. I know it takes like 30 seconds but whateve r man. I don't like it. permalink [ ]prestidigy2 2 points 2 hours ago

Car? permalink [ ]eleven1113 1 point 1 hour ago As a mechanic I understand this. I've had people literally lose their fucking minds because I moved their seat. H ow I'm supposed to drive their car with my knees imbedded in my face is of no co ncern apparently. I've also had my life threatened because I put their parking brake on after I PA RKED their car of which obviously destroyed their entire braking system because their brake light was lit when they turned the car on. permalink [ ]athawk 1 point 1 hour ago So German permalink [ ]bigigantic 1 point 1 hour ago it makes sense...I would imagine that most people who can afford a Benz have a t ype-A personality. As someone who has that kind of personality, I can say that I get annoyed when my seat is adjusted. But I wouldn't make a big deal about like I'm sure people do. permalink [ ]Reddit_Novice 2 points 1 hour ago Clean the car? Why not just get a new one when the old one is dirty? permalink [ ]Farts_Smell 1 point 1 hour ago "Ugh. [ ]Swordphone 1 point 1 hour ago Even my 96 SAAB 900SE has 3 different memory positions for the drivers seat. No worries here. permalink [ ]juicelee777 1 point 1 hour ago when shit like that happens its time to buy a new car... permalink [ ]Kozmosis 1 point 1 hour ago Well, it is somewhat of an issue that the driver needs to be made aware of. Some people might not notice until they're reaching for the brake pedal at an inters ection. permalink [ ]lnx64 1 point 1 hour ago I don't drive a Benz. I drive a simple 1994 Chevrolet Caprice. It knows not of s eat presents, but it has a wonderful joystick. If anyone moved my seat, I will t ell them "oh don't worry about it!" and get in my car, only to have fun playing with that joystick again. permalink [ ]Hydrii 1 point 1 hour ago That is actually a major inconvenience sometimes. For some reason all the mechan ics in my area slam the seats back and get them stuck on coins that fell in the track. No clue what they were doing in the passenger seat but I ended up with 2 stuck seats one time. permalink [ ]olov244 1 point 1 hour ago the seat isn't in the right position? crush this pos permalink [ ]ProfessorLube 1 point 1 hour ago Man, sure am glad I own a Kia. Yup. SO is a tech for Benz. A lot of people get bent out if shape when ANYTHING is slightly changed from the owner's settings. Like really? You have a good car and you got said car repaired or maintained and get it returned to you squeaky c lean and you lose your shit when your seat is an inch further back? Sometimes pe ople horrify me. permalink [ ]CosmicChrist 1 point 1 hour ago First world problem, NOW I HAVE TO RECYCLE THIS PAPER! permalink [ ]rickeyspanish 1 point 1 hour ago those damn mexicans at the car wash are always fuckin with my settings... permalink [ ]takatori 1 point 1 hour ago My Audi dealership does the same thing.
