THANKSGIVING - a topical bible study with Torrey's

THANKSGIVING is associated with PRAYER. In our Prayer and Worship, we should also Give Thanks and Praise God. Having a thankful heart will make us more contented with what we have, and also comfort us in times of distress and crisis. Giving thanks always for everything to God...that is a good habit.

11 Then Jesus took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated; so also the fish, as much as they wanted. (John 6:11) (NRSV) 41 So they took away the stone. And Jesus looked upward and said, "Father, I thank you for having heard me. (John 22"11) (NRSV) Jesus set an example of thanksgiving in various situations. The heavenly host engaged in Revelation 4:9 ; Revelation 7:11 Revelation 7:12 ; Revelation 11:16 Revelation 11:17 9 And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to the one who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, (Revelation 4:9) (NRSV) 11 And all the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 singing, "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen." (Revelation 7:11-12) (NRSV)
