Active Citizens Pakistan Programme 2013-2014

Program Introduction Active Citizens programme aims to develop leadership skills in young people of Khairpur, Sukkur and Larkana districts. It facilitates community and political participation amongst young people through interaction with local community, organizations and local and national governments. It also develops an understanding of glo al issues which affect young people and their communities. !he programme aims to increase Active Citizens outreach through developing strengthened partnerships with civil society organizations in the country and engage with communities and young people in the Khairpur, Sukkur " Larkana districts. !he Active Citizenship program aims to e#uip young leaders with skills to help them address social issues, access decision making process and contri ute to uilding community cohesion with people of all generations through$ a% Capacity Building: for young people that includes& leadership, communication, advocacy, citizenship, volunteering, social action program delivery, fund 'raising, entrepreneurship, partnership and network uilding. b) Developing international network: oth face(to(face and online, ena ling young people to share their ideas, knowledge and e)periences to develop new relationships and understand their roles as glo al citizens. c) Developing youth-led social programs$ where young people contri ute to addressing various development issues in their communities y involving local institutions and people of all generations to make a positive difference. d) Facilitating policy dialogue$ to stimulate de ate a out active citizenship and youth policy and practice at national, local and community levels.

THE PARTICIPANTS !here will e *++ young participants from Khairpur, Sukkur " Larkana districts, aged ,-( *+ years. !hese participants will e part of the programme for at least si) months. Participants Selection Criteria:
