Citrix Client Software Installation & Setup

Citrix client software is installed from the COST installation CD. The setup program (ica32Pkg.msi) is located in the folder \SIPRNet and Citrix\.

Installation Options

By default the Citrix Program Neighborhood software is installed in the PROGRAM FILES\CITRIX\ICA CLIENT directory on the drive where the local operating system is installed. There should be no need for you to change the default. The destination folder in the Start menu where the Citrix client menu will be added. This requirement is for Citrix clients on computers running a Microsoft Windows operating system. By default the program folder Citrix ICA Client is selected. This name must be different from the name of any other device on the network because it manages the client printers and system resources. Computers running Microsoft Windows operating systems supply the computer name as the client device name. You should not need to change this name.

Before installing the Citrix client users should confirm with their network administrator that ports 80 and 1494 are open. Citrix uses these ports for communications between the server and the client computers. If they are not open, the client computer cannot talk to the server.
