Supports the project manager and the project engineering manager in facilitating execution of technical work by the engineering disciplines / relevant subcontractors, ensuring project changes are communicated and implemented effectively. Resolves any engineering issues within his competency which have the potential to impede the achievement of project objectives. Job holder to have strong people management skills with experience of managing teams under difficult circumstances. To be skilled in resolving conflict in high stress environments. Capable of acting on own initiative and working with little direct supervision. Job holder to be highly proactive and able to initiate corrective action independently but within the project parameters as established by the project management and precedent. Objectives of Job To support allocated engineering disciplines to ensure that all project tasks and deliverables are delivered on time and within budget Assist with and manage project engineering changes and change requests, minimising the impact on project objectives, and maximising commercial output to CB&I Ensure that all emerging engineering issues are dealt with expediently to facilitate project execution with minimal disruption Ensure that all engineering technical project documentation is released on time, in format, and is

consistent with quality standards Ensure that client queries are acted upon quickly, facilitating to minimise the impact on project objectives Responsibilities and Duties The Project Engineer assists the Project Engineering Manager in the administration of the project and provides technical oversight and coordination of process and design engineering. Focus may be area specific. Primary Functions: Understand contractual requirements and communicate to team Assist the Project Engineering Manager Expedite the flow of technical information Focal point for technical issues/coordination between CB&I, Supplier and Client for area of responsibility Maintain the action items list Develop and coordinate engineering subcontracts Management / resolution of Management of Change program (MOC) Coordinate purchase requisitions Monitor suppliers compliance with purchase order conditions Facilitate communication between discipline leaders Monitor quality of design work Actively manage the engineering work hour budget for their area of responsibility Support the subcontract plan Manage staffing levels Work Relationships: Reports to: Project Engineering Manager or Project Manager Supervisory Responsibility for: Other PEs and Senior PEs as appropriate Co-ordinates with: Lead Engineers; Project Engineers; Client Engineers and Representatives; Subcontractors Manager; Subcontracts / Commercial Manager Note:

Education & T raining Chartered Engineer Degree Educated Essential Post graduate project management training and qualifications Desirable Experience Essential Substantial experience in at least one engineering discipline Experience of FEED / engineering design Experience of supervising and facilitating the work of others in an engineering context Experience of large complex engineering project environments Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines Experience of working in a task force environment Diverse and substantive experience as a project engineer Desirable Experience as a lead engineer on a project Experience as a discipline engineer within oil and gas Experience with site engineering / in the field Experience of commissioning Experience in commercial development Experience of a wide variety of engineering disciplines Experience in fabrication Special Skills & Knowledge Essential Understanding of and ability to analyse client engineering contracts Holistic understanding of the range of engineering disciplines and their synergy within large complex engineering projects Understanding of project schedules and tools, and manpower planning Understanding of and ability to interpret technical documentation across all disciplines, including P&IDs, Isometrics, and layouts Understanding of national and international engineering standards Process knowledge ability to understand plant processes and how unit processes interact Ability to translate design ideas into practical project outcomes
