1nsure ends of pipe are cut s@uare> burr removed & bores are clean before 4ointing. "lastic or ,& pipes shall not be bent. Copper pipes shall be bent on a bending machine and ensure rippling> throating & reduction of bore is avoided. ?ittings shall not be fabricated on site unless specified. ?iAing of "ipes 1nsure clamps & fiAing devices are as approved by the Customer and maAimum spacing between them are as follows*

!ssembling "ipes 1nsure the following*

=oint surfaces are cleaned immediately before assembly. 3aterial is as specified. "ipes are pushed fully home before tightening or 4ointing. ?or ring or push tight seal> pipe is withdrawn 10 mm after pushing home. Capillary soldering of copper pipes is done by eAperienced plumber. ?or plastic pipes> following methods shall be used. e.g. "6C> 35"6C> !'( + (olvent cement & ring seals. "1> "" + Compression fittings> fusion welding & ring seals.

Sanitary Appliances 1nsure discharge pipes & water supply pipes are fiAed before installing sanitary fitting. 5nions detachable pipes or braided hoses shall be provided between appliances> traps & pipes. ?iAing !ppliances

!ppliances are securely fiAed. 3anufacturerEs fiAing instructions are followed. ?or wet condition copper alloy or stainless fiAings are used. !ppliance is not embedded in wall or plastered unless specified. (upply & discharge pipe work is not used to support or fiA appliance. (eating is even & level> on hard floor> proper bedding is used F3ortar 1 cement * 7 sand 20 mm thick maAimumG and sealed with mastic sealant.
