Tailormade training and ca pacity building programmes for Non Governmental Organizations especially working for the rehabilitation of trafficked victims were introduced under the scheme. Ujjawala for prevention of trafficking, rescue, rehabilitation and reintegration of victims of trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation was introduced. The scheme provides prevention through formation of community vigilance groups and awareness and sensitization of key functioning, rescue and safe withdrawal of th e victim from the place of exploitation. Provisions have also been made for reha bilitation, which include safe shelter for victims with basic inputs of food, cl othing, counseling and vocational training.Number of Swadhar and Short Stay Home s which cater to trafficked women rescued or run away from brothels also increas ed to 240 and 380 respectively this year.
