The traditional thinking of the Lenten season usually focuses on giving something up. This year this calendar, developed by the folks at Apostles Lutheran Church, Turnersville, proposes the opposite what more can I give! "n each of the # $undays during the Lenten $eason %e are asking that everyone contribute something e&tra ' a canned(bo&ed food item or additional funds. The food items %ill be given to the )ood *antry at Christ in +ridgeton and the monetary donations %ill be donated to help the $oup ,itchen and -LCA .orld /unger. 0nstead of thinking about the e&tras %e can sacrifice, lets consider those that dont have any e&tras to give up. The follo%ing pages contain the re1uested additional donation for each $unday during Lent as %ell as readings to guide you.
