Suggested Answer THE MASTER PLAN Introduction Statistics relating to the death toll caused by road accidents - recently made public by Traffic Police Department Body Number of deaths on Malaysian roads and highways in 2012 - 4 189 More than half - 2 162 - motorcyclists - not wearing helmets - riding recklessly - underage youths no licence Second highest - pedestrians 1 021 - did not use overhead bridges and zebra crossings - some victims - innocent bystanders Car drivers - 829 - head-on collisions - not using seatbelts Drivers of commercial vehicles - 145 bus and taxi drivers - 32 lorry drivers Conclusion Most prone to accidents - motorcyclists - followed by pedestrians and car drivers

The statistics relating to the death toll caused by road accidents were recently made public by the Traffic Police Department. According to the table, the number of deaths on Malaysian roads and highways for the year 2012 was 4 189. Out of these fatalities, 2 162 involved motorcyclists. This figure accounts for more than half of the deaths on the road. The police said that the high rate was mostly due to the motorcyclists who were not wearing helmets or riding their machines recklessly. Many of those who died were underage youths without a motorcyclists licence. They also said that many motorcyclists stood little chance of survival when involved in collisions with larger vehicles. Therefore, they urged all motorcyclists to exercise extra caution when riding and to avoid speeding and weaving in and out of traffic. The second highest death toll of 1 021 was for pedestrians. Many of these victims were those who did not use overhead bridges and zebra crossings. Some of the victims were also innocent bystanders who were hit by reckless drivers. The car drivers who perished in road accidents totalled 829 in the year. Most of the accidents were head-on collisions where the drivers attempted to overtake the vehicles in front of them. Many of the victims were not wearing their seatbelts. There were also casualties among bus and taxi drivers. A total of 145 drivers died in various accidents. Most of those who died were express bus drivers involved in highway accidents. A total of 32 lorry drivers also died on the road during the year. Therefore it can be concluded that motorcyclists are the most prone to death on the road, followed by pedestrians and car drivers.

Students Copy The Importance of Organ Donation Read the passage below and answer the question that follows: The main reason to consider organ donation is that you can save someones life. Organ donation can help someone who is in need of a new heart, a liver or a set of lungs. Many transplant patients go on to live long, successful lives after their transplant surgeries. You can also make a big difference in someones life by donating optical materials such as corneas, passing the gift of sight on to someone in need. Organ donation is also used to harvest skin for burn victims. Intestinal materials are used for people who have experienced trauma and injuries to their veins, arteries, heart valves, bones, tendons and pancreas. While the organ donation process is invasive, it is very respectful, and the body is suitable for viewing after organs have been recovered. There is also no cost to the survivors of the donor for recovering organs. Especially if you are in vigorous health, these body parts could be a boon to someone after your death. While choosing to participate in organ donation is ultimately an individuals personal decision, everyone should certainly consider it.

Write a summary on the importance of organ donation. Your summary must: not be more than 60 words, including the 10 words given below be in continuous writing (not note form) be written in one paragraph Use your own words as far as possible without changing the original meaning. Most adults think it is sufficient to read the newspapers daily. Students, on the other hand, feel that they already read enough in the course of studying. In todays fast-paced world, reading provides a respite from the stressful daily routine. Reading relaxes the mind and our tensions disappear when we become engrossed in an interesting novel. Reading is also the cheapest and best way to acquire knowledge. We may not be able to travel the world but we can learn about other countries through reading. The knowledge that we gain from reading remains with us forever and we need not spend a fortune for travelling. Reading is just not confined to books. We can also read interesting articles while browsing through the Internet. The Internet makes for interesting reading because we learn about the opinions of people across the world. It also allows us to view pictures that give us a better of things that we do not experience in our own country. People who are well-read always come across as being knowledgeable. They can converse on a variety of topics and speak confidently in public. Reading therefore is important because it helps us to learn about our past, present and future. We become more aware of the issues surrounding us. It opens us to wealth of knowledge that helps progress through life.
