Met with the Employers February 11 & 12. Discussion centered on the following Articles: Article 9 On-call - Areas used, reasons for on-call use Article 10 Transportation - parking, required vehicles Article 14 Promotions, Transfers, Vacancies - Job postings Article 16 Temporary Assignment (Incharge) - Employer proposal to remove RN's from continuing care and subacute settings Agreed to some minor language changes. Next bargaining dates are March 12 &13.

- Labour Relations Board hearing February 18th * *(From David Harrigan Director of Labour relations UNA) We filed a complaint at the LRB, alleging that the employer was bargaining in bad faith. Our argument was that the employer was telling the public and our members that there would be no layoffs, that they wanted to hire more nurses, that they did not want to force employees to change their FTE. But at the bargaining table, their proposals clearly show the exact opposite. The LRB ruled against us, and said we were just misunderstanding what the employer was saying. They meant that currently there are no nurses on layoff, not that in the future there wont be. So our complaint was dismissed. On the positive side, we filed the complaint to try and get AHS to stop telling lies.

Local execs circulated from ED to the 7th floor. Next round will begin on the 6th floor.

121 Coffee cart will be circulating around the hospital every month.
