Informatica:

Methods Available: Export the Workflow from Repository Manager using the Export Object Option to export as XML and then import into QA using Repository Manager Import Object Option. Have Dev and QA is in the same Repo and Open Both Dev and QA Folders in Repository Manager and Just Drag the Objects from Dev to QA. Create a Deployment Group using Repository Manager and attach all the Workflows you need to migrate in the Deployment group and this Deployment group can be migrated. When to Use: Use this Option when the number of Workflows to migrate is few. These Exported XMLs can be used to keep Versions.

When we have less number of Workflows to Migrate we can use this option. Large number of Objects migrated together. It will keep the list of Objects migrated as a group and in case of a rollback is required it is easy in this approach. Mostly used when we migrate a Project for the first time to QA with a large number of workflows.

DAC:
Export DAC Metadata file and then Import it into other environment (QA/PROD). Verify the logs after export/import.

OBIEE RPD:
1. Creating the Patch This is done by creating an incremental XML patch file that will contain just the changes done in development. The incremental XML patch file is created using the Compare option. 2. Applying the Patch This is done by applying the incremental XML file on the production repository.
