Ed-U-Touch

Abstract

The Ed-U-Touch is a learning device that helps kids interpret more learning materials. It has apps and a touch screen board. It talks to your children to give them a real learning experience. They can change the speed and level on the Ed-U-Touch. Kids also can use the secret compartment in the back of the EdU-Touch. This compartment holds a white board and a marker to use for learning. You can also check your childs progress and how much they learn. Parents also can set times on the games, so it can tell them when their time is up. The Ed-U -Touch is for all grades. It is perfect for all children to play. It holds the power to teach your children and learn about the real world problems.

Present Technology

Some present technology used in our project is the present tablet. We will need the tablet for touch screen so children can be interactive with games. It has a camera with filters and stickers that can only be accessed after they complete a game. The battery will be assessable to adults and will be quick and easy to charge on the go. It will have parental control if you want them to play more games before they can play with the camera and other games. Children can bring it everywhere it will have a water/dirt proof case so it can get muddy, wet and if you drop it, nothing will break.

History

In 1969 Ray Tomlinson created a program to allow communication between networks. The system he engaged was a combination of the programs SNDMSG, and CPYNET. This makes a network that would make it possible to transfer a message between independent network users. You know that @ symbol you always use well he made that to. It was made to separate the users name from the host networks name. It was a logical choice.

Then the dry erase marker was made by an inventor named Jerome Woolf. Woolf made it in the 1960s, it was and is very important. Schools use it because it is cheap, and very useful. It was invented so teachers dont have to use chalk and waste money on paper, and pencils. It was made to erase on a white board and not be permanent.

Future Technology

The Ed-U-Touch is a learning system that will spread vital learning through generations. It will need, a fast pace technology to learn with the children, also a unlimited amount of space, and a updatable software that allows the children to move a create appropriate apps for fun it also allows you to listen to math, reading, social studies, writing, and all the extracurricular activities and specials. Also something that is very important is the a program that talks like a real person on this device youll be able to ask it question like how you spell something or you can ask to get a math app to get set to a different level. So if you think you need more of a challenge you can always get it. And on those long trips this childs tablet can call and video chat with no Wi-Fi or service. This all will be doable by scientific knowledge.

Breakthroughs

Research and describe breakthroughs that are necessary to make the future technology design a reality. Why doesn't this future technology exist today? Choose one of your required breakthroughs and describe a research project that would have to be planned and carried out to test your ExploraVision project. If possible, include the kind of data or measurements that would be collected in the investigation.

Some of the breakthroughs that make our project possible are the production of a fast paced learning system that actually learns with you. Also there will need to be a system to talk to you and you can talk to it. We will also need auto update software. Currently, none of this exists, but it will be possible. It will take money and hard work. It might take 20 years but we will make it possible. Those are all the breakthroughs for our project on the Ed-u-Touch.

Design Process

The design process was hard to decide we had three really good ideas but then decided on the Ed-U-Touch. First we were going to do a number namer but it didnt fit for the future. Next we decided if we make something educational it might help people teach and learn in the future. The next thing we thought of was the wonder pad. It helps with writing but we decided not. Last we decided on the Ed-U-Touch it helps kids learn every subject. That is what we decided on.

Ed-U-Touch

Consequences

The positive consequences of the Ed -U-Touch are that it will help kids in all grades. Also it will help teachers teach without school books. It will help schools pay less and still teach the same materials they did all year. The Ed-U-Touch has all subjects. They can also do their homework on this and if they need some help they can email their teacher about anything. The parents can also set limits on the time they play and times they have to learn. All this helps with school learning.

But the negative consequences of the Ed-U-Touch are parents will probable buy it and start home schooling. Also the Ed-U-Touch will cost a pretty penny. This might also take the kids away from some things like, sports and chores.
