33 Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard.
He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower.
Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place.
34 When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit.
35 The tenants seized his servants; they beat one, killed another, and stoned a third.
36 Then he sent other servants to them, more than the first time, and the
tenants treated them the same way.
37 Last of all, he sent his son to them. They will respect my son, he said.
38 But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other,
This is the heir. Come, lets kill him and take his inheritance.
39 So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
40 Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes,
what will he do to those tenants?
41 He will bring those wretches to a wretched end,
they replied, and he will rent the vineyard to other
tenants, who will give him his share of the crop at harvest time.
42 Jesus said to them, Have you never read in the Scriptures:
The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;
the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes[a]?
43 Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will
be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.
44 Anyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces;
anyone on whom it falls will be crushed.

Mar Thoma Sleeha Cathedral parish requires

our parish to attend a Protecting Gods Children

Lent season retreat will be held on April 3, 4, 5 and 6 2014.
There will be a pilgrimage to Holy Hill, Wisconsin on April12, 2014. CYM will make necessary
arrangements for this annual event
During the time of Lent we will have Stations of the Cross prayers when we gather for Ward
prayers instead of Rosary prayers.
Next Saturday CCD students will have service day. All students and teachers must attend it.
We will celebrate feast of St J oseph on Sunday 23rd March. Those who would like to join as Presudenthis of this Thirunal
will have a meeting today after 8.00 am Mass in Alphonsa hall
A retreat for 7th and 8th grade students will be held at Cabrini Center on March 28 -30th. Parents of these students will
have a retreat on 29th Saturday here in the church.
There will be a class on Protecting Gods children program on 28th Friday 10.00 am to 1.00 pm in the conference hall.
Those who are in association with any childrens program should attend this program and get a certificate.
Family Renewal convention will be held on J une 12th through 15th 2014. Fr J acob Manjaly.
A pilgrimage to Madjugorie and Rome is planning from September 29th through October 10th
Today after 8.00 am Holy Mass an informative seminar will be held on Home health care in the parish hall.
Womens Forum will take lead for this program.
Tomorrow March 17th Monday at 6.00 pm to 9.30 pm we will have a retreat for all Volunteers associated with the
church. The parish council members, Ward officials, CCD teachers, Senior Altar servers, Malpans, heads of all
association, prayer group and any body who would like to work with the church activities must attend this recollection
day. Rev. J oseph Pamplany will lead the session.
A similar recollection will be held for priests of this Chicago area on March 19th Wednesday 10.00 am to 2.00 pm in the
conference hall. You can invite any priests of Chicago area to come and attend this Lenten program. Fr Pamplany will
lead this program.
Syro Malabar Cultural fest is scheduled for May 24th Saturday, Contact Academy for details.
Cultural Academy classes will be closed Saturday March 22, since students have Service Day.
Parish hall and Gym will be remained closed on Monday and Tuesday due to the State election activities.
CCD News
- Stations of the Cross and Holy Qurbana in English every Fridays at 7.00 PM during the Lent.
- Service day for CCD students: March 22, 2014 from 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM. Various activities have
been planned to encourage our children to understand the true spirit of the season and help them
to grow in their faith. Please contact your childs class teacher for details. Your support,
participation and encouragement are essential for the success of this event. Ward based bible
jeopardy competition is from 2.00 to 4.00 PM. Please come, support and encourage children from
your ward when they show their commitment to learn and grow in faith
- Retreat for Students of grade 7th and 8th in Cabrini Retreat Center: March 28-30. Students
check in from 3.00-6.00 PM on Friday (03/28/14) and Checkout at 2.00 PM on Sunday (03/30/14)
- Retreat for parents of 7th and 8th grade students: Saturday March 29 th in the church 8.30 5.00 PM
Church Picnic
This years church picnic will be held on Saturday,
July 26th at Lions Woods Forest Preserve ground
in Des Plaines. We welcome all of you to the
picnic to have a day of fun.Please contact a CYM
