Oracle Applications 11i File system An Oracle Applications Release 11i system utilizes components from many Oracle

products. These product files are stored below a number of key top-level directories on the database and application server machines. Dependin on how you chose to install Applications! these product directories may be located on a sin le machine "the simplest case# or on multiple machines "the most common type of deployment#. Oracle Applications 11i File system An Oracle Applications Release 11i system utilizes components from many Oracle products. Operatin system environment settin s indicate the location of the various files in the file systems of the database and application server machines. The D+ directory is located on the database server machine! and contains the ORA,-.*/O0. for the Oracle1i database. The A))- or A))-*TO) directory contains the product directories and files for Oracle Applications. The ORA directory contains the ORA,-.*/O0.s for the Applications technolo y stack components. The ,O0$ or ,O0$*TO) "or ,O00O$*TO)# directory contains directories and files used across products.

Rapid &nstall installs the system! data! and directories below several mount points on the database specify the directory names of the mount points on the durin installation. DB and ORA Directories Oracle Applications supports employin an Applications database of one version! while linkin Applications pro rams usin the tools from a second or third version of the database. This multiple ORA,-.*/O0.s confi uration allows new features of the database to be supported! while maintainin compatibility with earlier releases. Release 11i utilizes three ORA,-.*/O0.s% 1. The 1.3.4 ORA,-.*/O0. "Applications database home# is located in the D+ directory. &t contains the files needed for runnin and maintainin the Oracle Applications database. 3. The product libraries in the 5.4.6 ORA,-.*/O0. are used to relink Oracle Applications e(ecutables. 8. The iA9 directory! also under the ORA! contains the ORA,-.*/O0. for Oracle1i Application 9erver. The APPL Directory Oracle Applications files are stored in the A))- directory! which is known as the A))-*TO) directory. The $O%& Directory The ,O0$ or ,O00O$*TO) directory contains files used by many different Oracle Applications products! and which may also be used with thirdparty products.

'i ure =. ,ommon Top directory structure The admin Directory The admin directory! under the ,O00O$*TO) directory! is the default location for the concurrent mana er lo and output directories. <hen the concurrent mana ers run Oracle Applications reports! they write the lo files and temporary files to the lo subdirectory of the admin directory! and the output files to the out subdirectory of the admin directory. The html Directory The OA*/T0- environment settin points to the html directory. The Oracle Applications /T0--based si n-on screen and Oracle /T0--based Applications /T0- files are installed here. The html directory also contains other files used by the /T0--based products! such as @ava9erver )a e "@9)# files! @ava scripts! ;0- files! and style sheets. Rapid &nstall and the AD utilities copy the /T0--based product files from each *TO) directory to subdirectories in the html directory. The 'a(a Directory The @AAA*TO) environment settin &nstall installs all points to the Bava directory. Rapid

The portal Directory The portal directory contains the Rapid &nstall )ortal files. The Rapid &nstall )ortal is a web pa e that provides access to post-install tasks that may be necessary for your installation! plus server administration scripts! installation documentation! and online help. :sin a browser! you can view the Rapid &nstall )ortal after you run Rapid &nstall. The temp Directory The temp directory is used for cachin Reports. The util Directory The util directory contains the third-party utilities licensed to ship with Oracle Applications. These include! for e(ample! the @ava Runtime .nvironment "@R.#! @ava Development Cit "@DC#! and the Dip utility. The scripts Directory by some products such as Oracle

The scripts directory contains application tier control scripts such as adstrtal.sh and adstpall.sh! which are located in the subdirectory.
