Coaching Experiences for SSC-CGL: AAA Bright Academy Last year I took coaching for CGL in AAA Bright

Academy. I went to its office in Chandigarh in Sector 15.. I was told that the fees is Rs 9000 for 2 Months !!. on requesting to reduce the cost Mahajan sir (Head Teacher), said that they dont compromise on quality. . He told me that i would havelife time validity" for the amount He claimed to have helped scores of students to clear in SSC-CGL over the years. The truth started tumbling out when I started taking the class. To begin with their material was based mostly on old simple questions. The teachers would simply solve those questions and go away. The teachers would never come up with new and challenging questions to meet with the demands of current level of CGL (considering that CGL has upped its level in last few years, Bright Academy persisted with older and easier questions). Now after solving such easy questions one feel that he or she is understanding everything and fully prepared for CGL. But when one sits on solving the recently asked difficult questions from CGL, then one realize where actually he stands. Barely in 50 days they supposedly covered the syllabus for CGL Tier-1 by solving their booklet questions in class. Also their test series (which if done separately, they ask for 1000 Rs) , which is nothing but previously asked question papers of CGL. Bright academy seems to pay no effort in preparing new question papers. Moreover i think leaving few (one or two) instances, the OMR sheet was never evaluated. After asking them several times, they asked me to evaluate it myself !!.

NO CLASSES FOR STUDENTS for TIER-II after CLEARING TIER-1 !! And too my surprise they never organized a batch for CGL tier-2. To get into CGL, marks of Tier-1 (out of 200) are added to marks of Tier-2 (out of 400). So 66% of the selection is on the basis of Tier-2, which is of higher level than Tier-1. And to my amazement, they don't have any upgraded material for that,. When I asked Mr Mahajan about preparation for Tier-2, he said whatever was required both for Tier-1 and Tier-2 was covered in that 2 Months of course. Also "few" students (How can one expect "many" people to clear with such kinda attitude, approach and material of institute) have approached them about preparation for Tier2, so he cannot start a new batch. He said if you are that much interested in preparing for Tier-2, you can repeat that 2 month stuff again with the current batches!!.

Apparently Mr Mahajan doesn't want to take the pain of preparing special material to the standard of Tier-2, or he just doesn't want to waste time on students who have already paid.

In nutshell the concept of "Life time validity" is lame if they don't complete the preparation of CGL (Tier I and Tier II)., "ANYWAY WHO WOULD WANT TO DO THE SAME SUB-STANDARD QUESTIONS OVER AND AGAIN !!" Since they have nothing to offer new in their study material, people seldom turn up again to do the same stuff agin.. This way people eventually end up paying 4000-5000 per month. All in all Bright Academy is fooling gullible students, by charging them huge fees in guise of LIFE TIME VALIDITY without giving much value addition to their knowledge. I heard now a days they are charging 13500/- for the same course. I would advise the students to: - Ask the qualification and experience of the teachers that are going to teach them, Some teachers are in fact recently passed out students or teachers who themselves are preparing for the exam that they are going to teach. - confirm if bright academy is going to regularly evaluate the answer sheets , Because if answer sheet are not regularly evaluated nobody can gauge himself before the final test. - Ask for the roll numbers of the students who cleared CGL previously. Over the years the photographs on their pamphlets have remained more or less the same. - Solve previous 3-4 previous CGL question papers to gauge your average score before you join the institute and do the same when they complete the course afterwards to check out what actual value additions to their knowledge they have done during the period.

Ideally Bright Academy to care more on the material to be provided to the students and care less on strategies to extract more money from them. Just bluffing about your "Chamatkari" study material would never help the students cause.
