Resi(ential Volunteers are needed for this very re arding role3 supervise young people encouraging them to participate in activities and also give assistance and guidance ith personal care. &ou ould need a good caring attitude ith a Kget on ith the Fo!G approach and a strong sense of humour.

Resi(ential Nurses needed during school holidays throughout the year at Woodro High House3 Amersham and Hindleap Warren3 Wych 4ross3 *ast Susse6. They re#uire fully #ualified nurses to !e responsi!le for the medical needs of the client during the eek3 including medication3 !riefing night staff and record keeping in line ith Activenture <olicy. Volunteers ill also have the opportunity to participate in the activities of the centre. Wa4in8 Ni83t Volunteers are needed during the school holidays throughout the year any night Sunday to Saturday. Volunteers are needed to care for their disa!led%special needs guests during the night. This may involve escorting to the toilet3 or as directed !y the residential nurse. No previous e6perience is necessary3 as e6perienced staff ill !e on hand if re#uired to support. Night staff generally ork as a minimum of t o people3 so ould !e ideal for a couple3 other ise an e6perienced partner ill !e provided. (espite our residential centres !eing located in !oth *ast Susse6 and Buckinghamshire3 this has not put off volunteers !eing illing to travel out of their immediate area3 presuma!ly as e cover the cost of seven daysG accommodation3 meals and activities C many regard us as a eek a ay from homeH We ould !e very pleased to hear from any individuals or groups of volunteers hom ould !e interested in Foining Activenture for a residential activity eek as companion helpers to young people ho are disa!led or have special needs3 during school holidays. We offer volunteers free training3 and a choice of t elve eeks during the year 5generally during school % college holidays7. 't is the only residential camp in the >? structured on <aul Ne man=s reno ned Hole in the Wall :ang camp. ;ver The Wall gives children one glorious eek of e6periences that are memora!le3 e6citing3 fun3 empo ering3 physically safe and medically sound. 't re!uilds their confidence and most importantly is a place here they can Fust !e children3 not children ho are sick. As <aul Ne man puts it QA place here kids can kick !ack3 rela6 and raise a little hellQ. Ca#p "ea# Staff directly care for our 4ampers 5not medical care73 giving lots of positive encouragement and support to the campers and treat them as =special=3 not !ecause they3 or their si!ling3 have !een ill3 !ut !ecause they are children and young people3 each ith their o n uni#ue gifts and talents. Volunteering at an ;ver The Wall camp is great fun and hard ork. The re ards at the end of the eek can !e immense. Seeing the difference in the campers after Fust one eek can !e ama"ing and tremendously satisfying. Time spent at camp makes a difference to the volunteers3 tooH &ou ill learn a lot a!out yourself3 meet like-minded people and make ne friendsH
