Muslims and Christians Celebrate the Lives of Jesus, Son of Mary and the Holy Last Messenger Muhammad
(peace be upon them) The United Muslim Christian Forum is pleased to announce its 8th semi-annual interfaith gathering: The Holiday Inn 2 Hawley Street, Binghamton, NY Saturday, March 29th at 12 p.m. (Binghamton, NY) On this occasion the followers of the Beloved Holy Last Messenger, Muhammad and Jesus, son of the Chaste Mary (peace be upon them) gather to commemorate and celebrate the lives of these two revered souls who lived and taught all to practice the utmost of human rights. A panel of dynamic Muslim, Christian, and Collegiate speakers will deliver messages inspired by this years theme to uphold peace, tolerance and unity by building relationships based on the Ten Commandments and living the life of Jesus Son of Mary and the Holy Last Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon them). Centered on building unity through faith, the United Muslim Christian forum was established to recognize similarities between Muslims and Christians, diminish differences and secure a solid foundation of joint respect. In a time where Islamophobia runs rampant through the spreading of misinformation and false propaganda, events such as these are a welcome forum for the advancement of unity, love and peace for all of humanity. During this esteemed program, light will be shed on the Majesty of Jesus, son of Mary, as exhibited in the Holy Quran- the only book other than the Bible that verifies the existence of Jesus, defends his blessed mother from false allegations of slander and even contains a chapter entitled, Maryam, devoted to his Chaste mother Mary. UMCF has enjoyed eight successful programs over the years featuring such prominent speakers as Dr. Rev. Arthur Suggs, Pastor of the First Congregational Church of Binghamton and founder of Broome County Interfaith Council, Dr. Ali Mazrui, Professor-at-large Emeritus and Director of the Institute of Global Cultural Studies at Binghamton University, Dr. Professor Diane OHeron, faculty facilitator for the UMCF Chapter at SUNY Broome Community College, and special guest, former Binghamton Mayor Matthew Ryan, to name a few. For the sake and pleasure of our Almighty Creator, people of all faiths are welcome to attend and join in benevolent fellowship that will surely overcome the forces that threaten to destroy forever peace and harmony in our world. An eclectic selection of entertainment featuring melodious hymns provides for a well-rounded and enjoyable program. We encourage the public to join us.
