Students will be divided into four groups, and each group will be SS!SS assigned to a different video online at Vialogues.com. At home, prior to and class, each student will watch their assigned video, which features one TT!SS of four academic lecture styles: a traditional lecture, a panel discussion, a TED Tal , and a seminar discussion. Students should ta e notes during the lecture. Students will post comments on Vialogues to discuss the videos and address the teacher!provided prompts. The teacher will monitor and facilitate the discussion. Students will form two circles: one inner circle and one outer circle. Each student on the inner circle will have a partner on the outer circle. The students on the inner circle will represent each of the four different videos that were watched the night before. Students on the inner circle will e#plain the main idea and provide an e#planation of the ma1or points from their video. The students listening will ta e notes. After four minutes, the students on the outer circle will rotate to switch partners. They will then repeat the same activity three times.

2nce one rotation is complete, the inside and outside circles will switch places and the process will repeat. 3y the end of the activity, each student will have ta en notes from 4 academic tal s and will have repeated the gist and structure of their lecture to 4 other students. .56 minutes0 Post Activity: Students will wor in small groups to ma e reflective posters, which compare and contrast the various styles of academic tal s. ,osters will be hung on the wall and groups will perform a gallery wal .
