Two Exciting Projects to help make Perth Even Better!

Project 1 1st Annual Rotary Youth Flood of Food! Our school is partnering with The Rotary Club of Perth, who supports a wide range of projects in Perth and the district. This year, to help bridge the Spring food gap at The Table and The Pantry (our local food banks), our school and The Rotary Club of Perth are launching the 1st Annual Rotary Youth Flood of Food; the objective of which is to see how much food/money can be collected by the 10 schools in the Perth Family of Schools. Food drive collection week for our school: Tuesday, April 8th Friday, April 11th
WE NEED YOU TO BRING IN DONATIONS THIS WEEK

Rotary Club of Perth

Food/cash totals will be presented during the Rotary Fest Dance, to be held at the Perth Arena on Saturday, May 10th, 2014. Rotary and Lake 88.1/Hugh Colton will travel to each school according to the schedule attached to conduct a live interview, photos, and will collect food on Friday, April 11th. Cheque donations are also being accepted. Cheques should be made out to the Rotary Club of Perth. Specific credit can be given to a school by noting the school name on the cheque. Donated cash or cheques will be applied to a food conversion process, and will count towards school food totals. All collected funds will be passed on to The Table or The Pantry (depending on the location of the school involved). Suggestions for Core Foods provided by The Table and The Pantry Canned whole, diced or crushed tomatoes, canned vegetables, canned tomato pasta and sauce, canned pasta sauce, canned seafood, canned beans and dried beans, canned baked beans, dried pasta, rice, oats, grains and seeds, breakfast cereal (low in sugar) flour, sugar (brown and white). Project 2 Fundraising and Fun Dance Opportunity Our school is partnering with The Rotary Club of Perth to raise money for both of our organizations, and to celebrate the Flood of Food. $10 from every ticket that our school sells comes directly back to us! A fun night out for parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles! Rotary does all the work and we get $10 profit back to our school a true win-win! Money from our ticket sales will go to our Breakfast Program. Rotary money will go to programs such as Summer Literacy Program, and Perth 200th Legacy Project: Blooming trees on Wilson Street and Highway 7. Rotary wants to help schools and youth.
