“100 in 100”: ARISE Scripture Memorization

The Bible says in Psalm 119:11, “Thy Word have I hid in mine heart. . . .” Scripture memorization is the way in
which we put His Word into our heart and mind. A part of the ARISE Flagship Program helps you accomplish this
goal. During your time at ARISE, you will have 100 days to memorize 100 Bible verses. These 100 texts were
carefully chosen to reaffirm your faith as a Gospel-sharing Seventh-day Adventist Christian.

Note: The KJV version for the Scripture formatting, but there was slight modernization of some of the words.

I. DEVELOPMENTAL TEXTS - Passages essential for helping you to develop a sense of identity and
mission as a Seventh-day Adventist Christian

1-17 The Law -

Exodus 20:1-17
“1 And God spoke all these words, saying,
2 ‘I am The LORD your God Who has brought you out of the land of Egypt,
out of the house of bondage.
3 You shall have no other gods before Me.
4 You shall not make
any graven image or any likeness of any thing
that is in heaven above
or that is in the earth beneath,
or that is in the water under the earth:
5 You shall not bow down yourself to them,
nor serve them,
for I The LORD your God am a jealous God,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children
to the third and fourth generation of them who hate Me;
6 And showing mercy to thousands of them who love Me
and keep My commandments.
7 You shall not take the name of The LORD your God in vain,
for The LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
8 Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shall you labor and do all your work,
10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of The LORD your God;
in it you shall not do any work,
you, nor your son, nor your daughter,
your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle,
nor your stranger who is within your gates:
11 For in six days The LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is,
and rested the Seventh Day,
wherefore The LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
12 Honor your father and your mother
so that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God gives you.
13 You shall not kill.
14 You shall not commit adultery.
15 You shall not steal.
16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 You shall not covet your neighbor’s house,
you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant,
nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor any thing that is your neighbor’s.’”

18-19 The Gospel -

Romans 1:16-17
“16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ,
for it is the power of God unto Salvation to every one who believes,
to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For in it is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith;
as it is written, ‘The just shall live by faith.’”

1
20-26 The Message -
Revelation 14:6-12
“6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven,
having the everlasting Gospel to preach to them who dwell on the Earth,
and to every nation, and kindred and tongue, and people,
7 saying with a loud voice,
‘Fear God and give glory to Him,
for the hour of His judgment is come,
and worship Him Who made heaven and earth,
and the sea and the fountains of waters.’
8 And there followed another angel, saying,
‘Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city,
because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.’
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice,
‘If any man worship the beast and his image,
and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand,
10 the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God,
which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation,
and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone
in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of The Lamb;
11 and the smoke of their torment ascends up forever and ever,
and they have no rest day nor night,
who worship the beast and his image,
and whosoever receives the mark of his name.’
12 Here is the patience of the saints;
here are they who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.”

27-28 The Movement -

Malachi 4:5-6
“5 ‘Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet
before the coming of the great and dreadful Day of the LORD:
6 And he shall turn
the heart of the fathers to the children
and the heart of the children to their fathers,
lest I come and smite the Earth with a curse.’”

29-31 The Mission -

Matthew 28:18-20
“18 And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying,
‘All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go therefore and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost;
20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you;
and lo, I am with you always,
even to the end of the world.’
Amen.”

Adventist Church

32 Christ in everything -
1 Corinthians 2:2
“2 For I determined not to know any thing among you,
except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”

2
33-36 Sola Scriptura –
2 Timothy 3:16-17
“16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be perfect,
thoroughly equipped for all good works.”
2 Peter 1:20-21
“20 Knowing this first,
that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man,
but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by The Holy Ghost.”

37-39 Sabbath -
Mark 2:27-28
“27 And Jesus said to them,
‘The Sabbath was made for man,
and not man for the Sabbath.
28 Therefore The Son Of Man is Lord also of the Sabbath.’”
Matthew 24:20
“20 ‘But pray that your flight be not in the winter,
neither on the Sabbath Day.’”

40-46 Second Coming -;

John 14:1-3
“1 ‘Let not your heart be troubled;
you believe in God, believe also in Me.
2 In My Father's house are many mansions;
if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again and receive you unto Myself;
so that where I am, there you may be also.’”
Titus 2:11-14
“11 For the grace of God Who brings Salvation has appeared to all men,
12 teaching us that denying unGodliness and worldly lusts,
we should live soberly, righteously, and Godly in this present world,
13 looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing
of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;
14 Who gave Himself for us
that He might redeem us from all iniquity
and purify unto Himself a peculiar people,
zealous of good works.”

47-51 Second Coming / State of the Dead -

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17
“13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren,
concerning them who are asleep,
lest you sorrow even as others who have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,
even so they also who sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord,
that we who are alive and remain unto the coming of The Lord
shall not precede them who are asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven
with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God;
and the dead in Christ shall rise first;

3
17 Then we who are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds
to meet The Lord in the air,
and so shall we ever be with The Lord.”

52-57 State of the Dead -

John 11:11 , 14, & 24
“11 These things He said, and after that He said to them,
‘Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him out of sleep.’
14 Then said Jesus to them plainly, ‘Lazarus is dead.’
24 Martha said to Him, ‘I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the Last Day.’”
1 Corinthians 15:51-53
“51 Behold, I show you a mystery:
We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed--
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump,
for the trumpet shall sound,
and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,
and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption,
and this mortal must put on immortality.”

58-63 Sanctuary -
Daniel 8:14
“14 And he said to me, ‘Unto two thousand and three hundred days,
then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.’”
Hebrews 4:14-16
“14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest Who has passed into the heavens,
Jesus The Son Of God,
let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not a high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities,
but was in all points tempted like as we are yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy
and find grace to help in time of need.”
Hebrews 8:1-2
“1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum:
We have such a High Priest
Who is set on the right hand of the throne of The Majesty in the heavens,
2 a Minister of the Sanctuary and of the true Tabernacle
which The Lord erected, and not man.”

64-67 Spirit of Prophecy -

Joel 2:28-29
“28 ‘And it shall come to pass afterward,
that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh,
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out My Spirit.’”

and went to make war with the remnant of her seed
who keep the commandments of God
and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”
Revelation 19:10

And he said to me, ‘See that you not do that!
I am your fellowservant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus.
Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.’”
