1. GeoPortal Basic
GeoPortal functions as a point of access to Kosovo Cadastral Agencys geographical information on Internet. Essentially it is a web portal which presents information from diverse sources in a unified way. hrough the GeoPortal! the user be will able to search and read data which is stored in the databases at KCA. he user can also order copies of the information. "ata from other data providers may also be available via the GeoPortal.

Homepage
#elow is the homepage of GeoPortal from which you can sign in directly to view all the options available or you can continue to access information through the map.

Map and layers


In order to access the map for searching and viewing geographical information! you either clic$ on the map that is in the homepage or clic$ %earch and %how menu item which directs you to the map.

It is important to $now three issues regarding layers of the map& If you want to intervene in a layer and add information! the layer should be active If you want ma$e a layer visible or invisible on map the chec$ button should be clic$ed If you want to select on map! parts of a layer of the layer itself! you should 'oom in the map until the mouse cursors is shown ne(t to the layer. Certain layers are selectable in certain map 'oom levels

Layer is active when this letter is clicked and turns to green

Toolbar and Online Help


An important component of the map is the tool bar as shown below. )or all the tools in the toolbar! there are e(planations in the online "elp which is present ne(t to the *ayer *ist. +ou ,ust need to click on the tool you need to use! and in the part of "elp the e(planation will be shown on what the tools serves for.

Viewing and navigation

Enables 'ooming directly to the given e(tent by drawing a bo( on the map. Clic$ on this button to 'oom to the ma(imum e(tent of the map. Clic$ on this button to 'oom to the e(tent of currently selected features. Clic$ on this button to 'oom to the initial state of the map. Clic$ on this button to restore previous map view.

Selecting data from map and getting info

Clic$ and hold the left mouse button anywhere on the map. 1hile holding the left mouse button! drag the mouse to draw a rectangle around the features you wish to select. Clic$ the left mouse button anywhere on the map to start drawing a polygon. Each subse2uent left clic$ adds a new point to the polygon. %hows the list of currently selected features. %aves the current view of the map 3etrieves the last saved view of map Clic$ on a feature to view its attribute list. Measuring

Clic$ the left mouse button anywhere on the map to start drawing a measurement polygon. %elect a feature or multiple features. Press the 0-easure selected features length or area0 button. Clic$ on this button to clear measurements from the 0-easurements0 layer. %et the measurement units for the length measurement tool.

Searching for data


%earching for data is available at the basic and advanced levels in GeoPortal. #asically! you can search in all the layers that are available and also for addresses. In order to open the search menu! you have to clic$! the arrow of the search tab as shown below.

Simple search
he first that loads after opening the search window! is the simple search which can be performed as e(planied below.

After pressing the %earch button! the results will show as a list and also in the map! as shown below.

In order to enable! advanced search! clic$ Show dvance Search in the search window.

6nce you clic$! a full range of options will be available to search. +ou can filter search results by Attribute )ilters and you can also add %patial )ilters available& 5 4isible area on map 5 Custom defined area through drawing a polygon or bo( 5 Choosing an administrative unit

%earch results are reflected in the list and in map.

Saving search results to file and loading from file


%earch results can also be saved to file and loaded afterwards when needed so that you do not need to recreate search criteria again. #elow it is shown how to save search results.

Load from file In order to retrieve search results! you have to load the file as shown below.

6b,ects which are retrieved from search results can be chec$ed or unchec$ed 7not visible on map8 and if they are selected! the map will pan to the ob,ect or 'oom to that ob,ect in map as the user specifies.

Select them in order the map to concentrate on them

(hoose the options for the map to pan to selected ob-ect or /oom to selected ob-ect!

dding selections from map to search results


In addition to searching! there is also an option to add selected ob,ects from map to the search results. his is possible if you select ob,ects in map 7for instance! segments8 and ,ust open the search tab. he selected ob,ects will be automatically shown to search results.

2. GeoPortal Advanced
Leaving feedbac
here are two ways to leave feedbac$ for any information that is presented in the map& 5 #y Email 5 #y opening a topic in the discussion forum )eedbac$ can be given for information that the user thin$s is not represented correctly or for other general issues. Instructions are given below for leaving feedbac$&

0! .ress Send )eedback tool and click in the location where you want to leave feedback 1! fter clicking on map, a window will appear to register your email! lso, a secure code will be sent to your email which should be pasted in the ne&t dialog that comes up after registering your email in step 2

2! dd feedback details in the comment field and also add the secure code send to your email! fterwards, press Send )eedback in order to send it to the administrator

Messageboard feedback he second option to add feedbac$ is for already registered users who are signed in. 9ere also! it should be started by pressing the %end )eedbac$ tool in the toolbar.

0! .ress Send )eedback tool and click in the location where you want to leave feedback 1! %nter your comment and choose to send it by email or start a discussion in the 4ser )eedback forum! #f you click to start a discussion, a new topic will be created in 4ser )eedback and can be accessed as shown below

1! 5our feedback will be listed together with your username and date of submission! 5ou can access it and add more e&planations or reply to administrator responses

Downloading of data
In order to download data! the user has to be signed in and also it is important to $now the concepts of searching and selecting which are described above. A user can download vector data and also raster data. #elow both options are shown. 3ectors

1! fter getting the desired search result, press 7ownload button

0! Search for the data you want to download

<! fter you pay your re8uest, you will 2! (onfirm your re8uest be able to download the file! #n addition, which also includes theview report and before paying, you can price you need to pay inre8uest! invoice of the download order to download the data

9! fter confirming the download, a new dialog bo& will appear asking if you want to go to downloads page! :! 'nce you go to your downloads and orders *My downloads and orders+, you can see the downloads ordered! ;here you can see the details of your download re8uests

6asters 3aster data are downloaded in the same way as vector data. he only change is when you search for data! thus the type of data.

0! Search and identify the raster data that you need to download

1! )ollow the same procedures form step 1-< as in downloading vector data

Ordering of data
In addition to downloading of data! a user can also order data and specify order details. 6rders are managed by the KCA. o order data! a user needs to be signed in and press 6rders from the main menu. here are two steps in ordering data& :. )illing in an online form with general information
0! Sign in to =eo.ortal and press 'rders menu

1! %nter order details and press Send! 5ou will be directed to the second step for order details *My 7ownloads and 'rders page+

;. Enter additional information for order and final submitting in -y "ownloads and 6rders 76rders tab8

#elow in the same page the following buttons will be shown&

2! )rom here you can Show #nvoice, )inali/e order and view 'rder details after selecting your order from the list!

9! #f you press )inali/e order, the following window will be shown which allows defining 'rder type, 'rder #nterval, and 7efine Spatial %&tent

:! #f you need to 7efine Spatial %&tent, the map will be invoked where you can immediately start drawing a polygon to define the area re8uested

<! fter you define the area in step :, you will be redirected to the )inali/e order page in step 9 and when you press .lace 'rder button, your order details will be update can be seen if you press 'rder 7etails button *see step 2+
