Woodruff Church of God e-Edition Newsletter April 15, 2014

Pastors Notes: This has to be one of the most exciting weeks in the life of the Church. This is known as Holy Week. The week that leads up to the payment of our sins and the resurrection from the dead of our Lord. I never feel worthy of His sacrifice but I am always thankful that He loved me enough to die for me. As Christians, we ought to want EVERY PERSON to have and experience what we have. I mean, if Christ is the life-changer, why wouldnt we want everyone to experience this change? If He gives abundant life, why would we want people to walk around spiritually dead? We are told statistically that there are 3 times a year when the unchurched people will come to church: Mothers Day, Christmas, Easter. What an awesome opportunity we have to be the church that God has called us to be and intentionally bring someone with us to church that we know is lost or backslidden. If we truly care for their soul, we will not let this moment in time pass us by. We have several opportunities this year to invite people to come onto our church campus: 1) Good Friday Community Prayer Meeting Friday at 12:00 PM, Woodruff Church of God 2) Viewing of the movie The Passion of Christ Friday at 7:00 PM, Woodruff Church of God 3) Family picnic & Egg Hunt Saturday, 1:00 4:00 PM, New Property, Hwy 101 & Hunter Rd 4) Sunrise Service Sunday 7:00 AM, New Property 5) Easter Special Program BECAUSE OF YOUR LOVE 10:30 AM, Woodruff Church of God..Special Gift for all in attendance!!!!

There will be no PM Service Easter Sunday night. PLEASEspend this time with your family and reflect on the mercy, grace and love of our gracious Lord and King!!!!!!! Childrens Service on April 27th in the AM service We will also have a BABY DEDICATION SERVICE ON April 27th . If you would like to participate in this, please call or email the church office. (476-2977 or wcog@woodruffcog.org) For those signed up for the Marriage Retreat in Pigeon Forge, youll be getting a schedule very soon. Our special guest this year is Byron & Frankie Powers. Topics that will be dealt with are 1) Giving Priority to your Spouse, 2) Communication.I just passed my spouse (in the other lane), 3) Construction ahead. This is going to be a great time of learning but also spending that quality time together. WISH EVERYONE WAS GOING! We are trying to go ahead and set dates for next year so everyone has plenty of time to decide, set aside some vacation days and save money. Lisa and I love you all and are looking forward to being together with you!
