My name is Nour de Vos; I have recently finished my Masters in Finance at Macquarie University. I am writing to you to for the Junior Trading position; my rsum and background information is enclosed below. I have always had an interest in trading and Quantitative finance: my degree, my professional experience and my extra-activities, such as my personal trading and my investment club, helped to further this interest. From my professional experience, I did a 6 month internship at Citigroup Paris in Equities Sales Trading. It was my second official and professional experience in finance, after my internship in a small proprietary trading firm in London. During my internship, I tracked the daily performance of traders with internal live monitoring tools; I was also monitoring balances, funding and liquidity risk with Citis software and improving products such as the daily morning. I also created cash and derivatives strategies, with significant success, enough to be implemented by clients such as pairtrading, options strategies and volatility strategies such as dispersion. From my previous professional experiences I learned how to create, backtest and implement trading strategies, but also the necessity to constantly create and improve trading tools. I also consider my very specific and international background as a particular hedge, helping me to develop an advanced understanding of our global interconnected world. As an extracurricular activity, I created a Small Investment Club in 2009, which was focused on the French mid-cap Market. The target of the club was to develop our quantitative investment skills, with different cash strategies such as Pair-trading. I also traded for my personal account, with more advanced derivatives products such as Futures, Options and Forex. This Club helped me to develop my practical knowledge of financial markets such as portfolio rebalancing but also how to manage a book and open positions. Furthermore this experience developed my entrepreneurship, my problem solving skill but also my need to constantly improve myself by an ubiquitous reading of research papers such as BNP Outlook 2014, JPM year ahead 2014 or Buffets Alpha. I have also taken the time to develop my entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills, working with a startup company called Unikity.com and remixjobs.com. I received a Valedictorian award for my thesis on charismatic entrepreneur. More recently, I have developed my team-work skills by participating actively in the Macquarie Entrepreneurship Association (ASES). I am greatly passionate to work for XR Tradinng as I see a chance to express my creative thinking, my leadership spirit and my understanding provided by my very specific background. Finally, with my Masters degree, my professional experience, my international background, my entrepreneurial spirit, my quantitative skill and my extreme motivation, I believe that I am ideally suited for this trading position.
