GCSE Grades AAABB (in any order) in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, English Language. Science Double Award may substitute all GCSE sciences. Three A level passes including Chemistry and/or Biology and one science or mathematics subject plus an additional AS level subject. GCSE Grades AAABBB to include Biology (or Human Biology), Chemistry, English Language and Mathematics (or additional Mathematics or Statistics). The Science double award may substitute all sciences at GCSE. Must have at least two science A2's one of which should be either Biology or Chemistry as well as a third A2 which can be in another science or non science subject. We also require an additional AS level grade B in any academic subject. If A level Maths is offered, Further Maths is not counted as a separate A2 but acceptable as an additional AS level only. English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology at Grade B GCSE GCE A Level : Chemistry and (Biology or Mathematics or Physics). If Biology or Mathematics have not been passed at Advanced level, each must normally have been passed at AS level or GCSE grade B or better. GCE A Level : Chemistry or Biology If only one of Biology or Chemistry is offered at A or AS level, the other should be offered at GCSE grade A (or Dual Award Science grade A). Applicants must offer A* grades in each of English, Mathematics and Science/s. Overall GCSE performance will be considered. Chemistry and Biology. The A2 modules of three subjects must be undertaken in year 13. Predictions of AAA will normally be required. Min. 7 subjects are required at C or above; min 5 must be at A or A*. Physics & Biology are required either at AS or at GCSE at minimum grade C. (Chemistry is essential at A2). Min BB for dual science. English language & maths at grade B. Chemistry at grade A essential, plus 1 from Biology, Human Biology, Physics, Mathematics or Further Mathematics, and one further academic subject. A combination of 3 sciences will be regarded as equally acceptable at A2-level. Applicants with known A Level grades (AAA with Grade A in Chemistry), will be considered even if their GCSE grades do not reach the required standard. However all applicants must have a minimum of grade B in GCSE English Language and Mathematics. Dual Award Science must be offered at minimum BB or the sciences at minimum Grade C at GCSE or AS.

GCSE: English Language C, and Biology B Chemistry at grade A and Any Science subject at grade A and Any Subject at grade A. Grades AAA required at first sitting of A-Levels (2 years after GCSE). 6 grade Bs including English, Maths and Dual/Double Science (or Chemistry and Biology if offering these as separate sciences) Chemistry at grade A. Six GCSE subjects at grades A-C including grade A in both English Language and Mathematics Chemistry and Biology. English Language GCSE at grade C or above required. Chemistry and either Biology or Physics Seven GCSEs are required at grades A-C, including English Language, Mathematics and either Single and Additional Science, Extended Science or Biology and Chemistry. GCSE Physics or Double Award Science. GCSE Mathematics and English Language Chemistry at grade A and (Biology at grade A or Mathematics at grade A or Physics at grade A). If not offered at A level then Biology/Human Biology AS level grade B is required. Not more than one A level and one AS level in Mathematical subjects may be counted. A maximum of either one Applied A level or one Applied AS level will be counted. A minimum of seven GCSEs at grade A, including mathematics, English and double award science (or equivalent). You may offer qualifications which are equivalent to GCSE Chemistry at grade A and Biology at grade A. General studies and critical thinking are not accepted. Subjects with material that overlaps (e.g. human biology/sports studies/physical education, maths/further maths) may not be offered in combination at A level. GCSE English at a minimum grade B Chemistry and (Biology or Mathematics or Physics). Biology or Human Biology in addition to Chemistry is preferred. If Biology is not studied at A2 it should be taken at AS level or GCSE. Biology and Human Biology are considered as equal subjects. Passes in 4 AS subjects are expected from Lower Sixth. A GCSE pass in English at a minimum of Grade B is also required. We do not consider Maths and Further Maths as two separate subjects at A Level.

Six GCSE subjects at grade A or above including English, Mathematics and two science subjects Biology at grade A and (Chemistry at grade A or Physics at grade A). Grades AAA required which must include Biology and a second science from Chemistry or Physics, plus an additional AS level at grade B or above in a fourth subject. Grade B in English Language and Maths plus AA in double science or AAB in single sciences. Grades AAA at A-Level, to include two science subjects from Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Statistics can be offered instead of Mathematics. Students must also offer one AS Level in a fourth subject. At least one A2 Level science must be either Biology or Chemistry. If not offered at A Level, Biology and Chemistry must be offered at AS Level. The typical offer will be grades AAA at A Level. If not offered at A Level, Biology and Chemistry must be with grade A at AS Level. A 'C' grade must also be achieved in an AS Level subject not offered at A Level. For applicants offering 2 or more Maths and/or Statistics at AS or A Level, only 1 will count towards meeting the conditions of an offer. Critical Thinking is not accepted at A Level but is recognised at AS Level. At least six subjects at grade A including all three Sciences or the double Science award. English Language and Mathematics at grade B or above. An A grade at Physics AS level is acceptable in lieu of a grade B Physics at GCSE. Chemistry + Biology/ Human Biology at grade A GCSE passes, or their equivalent, at grade C or above in English, Mathematics and the Sciences (which may be dual awards). At least six A grades in GCSE subjects. Chemistry and Any Science subject. Science subjects includes Biology, Physics, Mathematics or Psychology Applicants should normally achieve ABBB at AS Level. It is expected that A Levels will be taken in one sitting, unfortunately we are unable to accept A Level resits. Applicants with a combination of GCE and VCE/Applied A levels should contact the Medical Admissions Office for advice. GCSE English at Grade B and Mathematics at Grade B Biology at grade A and Chemistry at grade A Five grade A or A* passes in Mathematics, English Language and two science subjects GCE A Level : Chemistry at grade A and one laboratory-based science. GCE AS Level : Minimum of four subjects to be studied. Minimum Grade C in the fourth subject.

A (Chemistry); A (Biology); A (third academic A level); plus B in 4th independent AS level subject. GCSEs in 9 separate subject areas: attained by the end of Year 11 and at least a score of 15 points or better (where A*/A = 2; B = 1) from the nine and including: Core + Additional Science (or Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), English Language, and Mathematics (all at least grade B). Preference will be given to applicants with a higher GSCE score. 2 points is the maximum score awarded in each subject area (e.g. Only one of Maths and Further Maths will be considered and 2 points at most will be available for Dual award GCSEs except for Dual Science for which up to 4 points may be awarded). Short course GCSEs will at most receive half the points of a full GCSE but 2 short courses can be offered in place of a full GCSE. A levels in 3 subjects taken at one sitting, usually after 2 years of study (plus a 4th subject to at least AS level): at a minimum of AAAb Chemistry and Biology are subject requirements. At least grade B at English Language and Mathematics, if not offered at A/AS level. Chemistry and Biology required - if only one at A-level, the other must be offered at AS level 416 points from the top eight subjects at GCSE (equivalent to an average of grade A). To include English Language (minimum grade B), Mathematics and Dual Award Science or the three separate sciences. GCSE English Language grade B or IELTS 7.0 (with no section less than 6.5). This is the points system we use: A* - 58, A - 52, B - 46, C - 40, D - 34, E 28 Grades AAA are required at A level with a grade B in a distinct AS level. Chemistry and Biology are required, at least one to A level and the other to AS level. Lower grades will be considered if your school average for A Level is less than 571.7, we will use a formula to consider a lower offer, to a minimum of BBCb. Candidates may retake modules in year 12 or 13 without penalty but candidates must obtain the grades required within two years of study.
