way that makes the most sense for living on this earth. The true saints have proven that over and over. The hope which Christ offers us is the only true and lasting hope. Ultimately, it is our only real assurance that life can be good and joyous for everyone. Read the words St. Paul wrote to the church at Rome and apply it to your own life: Just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his (Romans 6:4-5, nrsv). If that is not a tremendous cause for abiding joy, then what is?

We Christians simply cannot get over the reality of the Resurrection. For us, the fact that God raised Christ from the dead proves that Christs way alone is Gods answer to the sins and horrors of the world. The truths Christ brought when he walked on Earth stand solid and irrefutable. The light he brought is the only light that never goes out for it is the eternal light of Gods glory. A Special Note To: Congregation DRUMMER NEEDED: We are currently searching for an experienced drummer who is a team player to play regularly on Sunday mornings. Primary responsibilities would include a 9:00 AM rehearsal/run through and 11:00 AM worship. If you are interested or know of someone who might be, please give Randy a call.

WMU is sponsoring a Basket Silent Auction - April 27 to support LU Students, Shannon Ritter & Steven Russells trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming through Campus Crusade for Christ. Please be thinking about donating a basket for the auction. Some themes are: baby, sports, movie night, game night, cooking, gardening, chocolate, etc. If class members each bring something then it wont be too expensive to make.

Last Belk Day ticket sales, we got enough money to purchase most of the washcloths we will need for shoeboxes this fall. Save the date May 17th - OCC FaithRiders motorcycle ride to Waynesboro. Please pray for riding weather on that date. Please pick up postcards from the office to share with friends and coworkers.
