Introduction:

We are a Moroccan Islamic group allocated in USA, and we thin that we will !e a!le to open here an educational esta!lishment ver" soon# It aims at setting up the first Muslim private school in the area of $ew%&or # Our group provides pupils with after%school help on a '(%hour per wee !asis and the majorit" of our pupils ta e correspondence courses# Since our Islamic group was created in '((), parents who feel concerned for the Muslim "outh have dedicated time, mone" and themselves to ma e this project move forward# In Septem!er '(*(, this concern and involvement allowed us to set off various activities in education, sport, entertainment and language#

Our project: Creating a Muslim private school

The ne+t step is to declare to local authorities the opening of a private school, which will !e moved to a !igger facilit" than the one we have now# There, we will !e teaching the ,rench $ational -ducation .oard program and e+tra courses such as ancient Ara!ic, -nglish and computer formation/ This education will rel" on e" principles, among which responsi!ilit", social interaction and solidarit" to name a few#

Our philosoph" is founded on the values of Islam, its orientations, its logic and coherence# ." passing these values down, we wish to ta e care of0
1. The pupils moral and spiritual state, 2. His/her personal and social developments, 3. His/her intellectual and educational improvements.

We wish to !uild up an educational esta!lishment that will made of a indergarten, an elementar" school, a 1unior 2igh School and a Senior 2igh School# .ut, first of all, we need to ac3uire a plot of land in $ew%&or or its su!ur!s !ecause, even though the facilit" we have at the moment ena!les us to have a indergarten and an elementar" school, we are limited on the num!er of pupils we can ta e in charge# This is the reason wh" we wish to e+pand so as to meet the demands of the families who desire to enroll their child at our future school# It will !e well e3uipped so that our children can evolve in the !est material and spiritual conditions# We also want to teach them how to determine their capacities and the limits the" ought not to stretch#

Our structure:

We currentl" have a facilit" located 45 classes, five minutes awa" from downtown cit", near a large par and four mos3ues# The facilit" surface is *6( s3uare meters# It is ver" well e3uipped and respects safet" norms# The cit" gave us an -78 authori9ation, which authori9es us to accommodate people into our !uilding# In the future, we intend to invest mone" in !rand new e3uipments that will meet our pupils: needs# We have good hope that we will provide them with a computer room, a private g"mnasium, a science la!orator" ;for the future 1unior 2igh School<, a pupils clu!, a stud" room and a li!rar"# Our esta!lishment is open to all !ut, meanwhile, we ma e pupils who ta e correspondence courses our priorit"# All the others are selected on their grades and !ehaviors# During the holida"s, we remain open and offer numerous manual, language and educational activities# The ids can !ring their own lunch to eat at noon or the" can go home if the" live near!"#

-ver" child has his=her own personalit", capacities and gifts# To ma e them !loom, we propose numerous manual, language and educational activities for 4%"ear%olds and a!ove so as to attract their attention and stimulate them# Pedagogical activities0 >oo, S iing, mountain hi ing, etc# These are important leisure times for ids and teachers to !ind together# Sports ;from the age of four<0 $ot onl" is sport a good wa" to let the steam off and enjo" oneself, it is ver" important for !od" and mind# We also give nglish courses and computer initiation courses !ecause -nglish is an international language and computers are !ecoming parts of our ever"da" life# We want children to !e a!le to adapt themselves to the evolution of societ" at a ver" earl" age# ,or "our children to !e successful, the" need a stud" follow%up# This is wh" teachers and parents have to wor together, which means the" have to listen to one another and pa" close attention to the pupil:s progress#

Our Goals:

The association:s primar" goal is to teach the values of !oth the American 7epu!lic and Islam? We want to enhance our capacit" to live together in a multicultural societ"# According to an August '(() report drawn !" the @ouncil of -ducation, 4 out of *( pupils suffer from serious educational gaps when the" enter 1unior 2igh School and * person out of A drops out of the school s"stem without 3ualification#

$ot onl" does the association teach general school su!jects, it also teaches fundamental principles# We intend to pass down genuine values !ased on nowledge and constant

learning# -ach and ever" stage is important# The" will learn how to resolve serious conflicts, how not to !e judgmental, how to !e sincere and honest and much more#

$owada"s, the school s"stem admits that it has not found the right solutions for the pro!lems poor neigh!orhoods, slums and other priorit" development areas are confronted with# Man" teenagers are reall" hard to canali9e# Moreover, most of them have awful grades# ,or these reasons, numerous parents hope to put their children !ac on a path that, on the one hand, would lead them to religious respect and, on the other hand, would give them the opportunit" to have a successful life#
