New Product (Selection Process/Criteria)

We use many different sources to meet our energy needs every day which are not typically classified as renewable and non-renewable. Renewable energy, also called green energy includes biomass, geothermal energy, hydropower, solar energy and wind energy. Wind energy is among the worlds fastest-growing sources of energy. During the last decade, wind energy growth rates worldwide have averaged about 30 percent annually. Wind energy has many advantages. Namely it is friendly to the surrounding environment, as no fossil fuels are used to generate electricity from wind energy. In addition, wind turbines take up less space than the average power station, wind energy is inexhaustible and infinitely renewable, wind energy is that when combined with solar electricity, this energy source is great for developed and developing countries to provide a steady, reliable supply of electricity. Wind is air on the move. Each air molecule has kinetic energy because it is moving. The energy of the wind is the combined kinetic energy of all of the molecules. Electricity companies are able to catch the energy of the wind using wind turbines. Typically using a wind farm will often contain many identical turbines. When the wind flows through the blades of a turbine, they rotate and spin, powering a rotor inside a generator and producing electricity. Solar energy systems can be combined with wind turbine systems easily and effectively. Solar energy is an inexhaustible resource. The sun produces vast amounts of renewable solar energy that can be collected and converted into heat and electricity. Passive solar energy refers to the collection of heat and light; passive solar design, for instance, uses the suns energy to make homes and buildings more energy-ecient by eliminating the need for daytime lighting and reducing the amount of energy needed for heating and cooling. Active solar energy refers to storing and converting this energy for other uses, either as photovoltaic (PV) electricity or thermal energy. It is very convenient to use for buildings. The newest form of energy saving technology is green skyscrapers. Our engineers have been able to apply wind tribune concept to newly constructed skyscrapers and other buildings. Our newest product is a building-mounded wind tribune and solar system and our goal is that this system will allow us to become a major competitor in the Chinese market. Because of Chinas rapid growth and minimal amount of urban developmental area, China has begun building many skyscrapers and these buildings require large amounts of energy to

maintain operation. Therefore, our system turns the skyscrapers into green skyscrapers using the wind tribune and hybrid solar energy method which lessens its carbon footprint. Below you will find a couple of wind energy and solar system examples. First, The Pearl River Tower is being built in Guangzhou, which is in the Guangdong Province in southern China (Figure 1). This skyscraper is known for its net zero-energy goal, meaning that it will conserve and generate enough power to meet its energy demands. The most interesting and unique aspect is the buildings structure that pushes rapid wind into the wind turbines in the two openings. It also has solar energy panel on the surface of building thus producing energy.

Second, Bahrain World Trade Center Towers is a 240 m high twin tower complex located in Manama, Bahrains capital. Comprised of 50 floors, this skyscraper is the second tallest building in Bahrain. Despite being the second tallest in Manama, the Bahrain World Trade Center is first skyscraper in the world to integrate wind turbines and solar panel system into its design (Figure 2)

The customer requirements demanded for an urban building-mounted turbine and solar panel that would be quiet, efficient, and environmentally friendly. It needed to provide enough power to support 40-100% of the energy needs of a nearby building. In addition, it should be easy to install and maintain. The turbine also had to be stable enough as to be unaffected by turbulence, especially because of its unusual location on top of an urban building. Our products work quiet, environmentally friendly. Solar wind turbines also can be serviced and repaired individually without the need to close down and entire station. We also have systems available for applications for smaller buildings and structures. Our small size wind turbine products are Windside (Figure 3), Ropatec (Figure 4) and Windball (Figure 5).

Our solar panel products can be on rooftop mounded and/or surface-mounded panels. The surface-mounded (see figure 7) panels are more useful for skyscrapers. The rooftop mounded panels (see figure 6) are mobile. The rooftop mounded panels have three (3) types of product that are 300-RMP, 400-RMP and 600-RMP.

Our big size product is wind-blade solar tribune. It is available to use for skyscrapers. It generates power %40-%100 of the energy needs. Its design is basically regular wind tribune and solar panel. It is combined with wind and solar energy system. As the seen figure 6, the wind tribune is assembled on solar panel system. The specifications of products are seen Figure 8 and Figure 9.
