This Contract is made on this ___ day of _____, 20__, between Rivershore Books (hereafter Publisher) and __________ (hereafter Author) whereas the Author desires the Publisher to publish the authors Work, entitled ________ (hereafter Work), and Publisher desires to publish the Work. The parties agree as follows: 1. Publishing Rights and Copyright The Publisher makes no claim on the Work, and the Author retains all rights. The Author may, at any point, publish the Work elsewhere, or remove the Work from CreateSpace and the Publishers store. Copyright of the Work belongs solely to the Author. 2. Author's Warranties and Indemnity The Author warrants to the Publisher that the content within the Work is original to the Author, or that permission to copy has been granted by the creator and proper credit has been given. 3. Author Changes to the Work The Publisher makes no promise of perfection. Therefore, the Publisher agrees to allow the Author to makes changes to the interior content of the Work at any point, before or after publication. The Author acknowledges that an adjustment post-publication will cause the Work to be removed from Amazon for up to 7 days. 4. 5. Publishers Liability The Publisher recommends that the Author order one (1) initial print copy of the Work to inspect for errors. The Author acknowledges that choosing not to do so will fully release the Publisher of liability. [Only applicable for books published in Paperback or Hardcover formats.] The Publisher will never be liable for more than the Author has paid for services. 6. Advertising and Promotion The Publisher shall have the right to use, and to license others to use, the Authors name, image, likeness and biographical material for advertising and promotion of the Work. The Author agrees to sell one (1) copy of the published Work at author cost (CreateSpace cost), plus shipping if mailed, to the Publisher. Successors and Assigns This agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the executors, administrators, and assigns of the Author and upon and to the successors and assigns of the Publisher. 8. Amendments This contract shall be found null and void upon signature by both parties of a future dated contract concerning the same Work. 9. Laws Applicable This Agreement shall be interpreted according to the laws and statutes of the United States of America. 10. Entire Agreement This Agreement sets forth the entire agreement of the parties, and replaces and supersedes any previous agreement between the parties on the subject, whether oral or written, express or implied.
