Based on TCP session optimization as well as intelligent compression and caching techniques, the xG WebPerformer reduces the bandwidth required to load a web page, to download pictures, and receive emails or documents. The RAN and network resources are better utilized, ultimately providing better performance. With its ultra-scalable architecture, the xG WebPerformer is a clientless solution that ts with every mobile device. The powerful http engine processes the downlink trafc and smartly optimizes content according to policy proles and to browser capability. The latter can then reprocess the minimized information. TCP packets are maximized, TCP connections that are already open are reused, avoiding the opening of a new connection. http 1.1 also allows multiple http requests to be issued without waiting for the corresponding response. xG WebPerformers conception allows it to be deployed in a transparent mode in the network. The failover capabilities allow hot/stand-by deployments. Combined with the fail-to-wire feature, availability is above 99.999%. Running on most recent multi-cores hardware, xG WebPerformers parallel processing architecture can reach more than 10GB/s per unit which can be cascaded to increase throughput.
