Kenneth Allen Mrs.

Hensel English III 26 March 2014 Automotive Industry Acceptance from the automotive industry requires several certifications. Technicians are needed daily because cars are continuously being manufactured and diagnostics are endless. There arent many smart mechanics, Car companies, their suppliers and automotive-related industries need people with both practical experience and a passion for things motorized. It would help a great deal. As you progress further in your career, you will find that managers will care less about where you went to school and much more about what you can do for them. Requirements from the automotive field arent easy to obtain. As a pre-technician you are required for an ASE certification. ASE stands for National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. ASE promotes excellence in automotive service and repair. Technicians are required to work two years in job training and a two-year degree in automotive repair to qualify for certification. ASE exams arent easy; only one out of three people pass on their first attempt. ASE certified technicians are required to retest every five years to maintain their title. There are many colleges for automotive services after graduation; as you progress further, What you do outside of class is at is as least important as where the class is held. The automotive industry is littered with the failed careers of engineering graduates from far more prestigious automotive schools and its not their initial interest. Many students barley touch the surface of what is essential to know. Many auto students understand the concept of what to do

but they cannot perform efficiently. Several students understand manuals but cannot identify a ratchet. Students that are seeking a position in the automotive career need the proper training. Young technicians need more hands-on experience in order to be ASE certified. Several young students need to be fired due to lack of very essential knowledge. Students think they know more than they do but struggle with diagnostics. If students arent dedicated to the auto world then they dont need to attempt the ASE test. Demere, Mac, MD.
