Tested refractories for the glass industry. Represented UMR in the Center for Glass Research.
Applied research: Created and tested sensors for glass furnaces. Evaluated refractories
using techniques such as flame image analysis, radar and echo impact.
Additional work: Performed microscopy analysis of ceramics and refractories, co-author
of NSF-funded digital library of images, and consulting to the glass industry.
