Respiratory
System
Definition:
The
Respiratory
System
is
the
transport
of
oxygen
and
the
outside
air
to
the
cells
with-in
tissues,
and
the
transport
of
carbon
dioxide
in
the
opposite
direction.
The
Respiratory
System
is
one
of
the
most
important
systems
in
your
body,
the
Respiratory
System
includes
the
lungs
and
the
rib
cage
because
the
rib
cage
protects
your
lungs
and
the
heart
at
the
same
time.
There
is
a
pipe
connecting
to
both
of
your
lungs
is
called
the
Trachea
also
known
as
the
Windpipe.
There
are
2
lungs
in
your
body,
the
right
lung
has
3
lobes
and
the
left
lung
has
2
lobes
because
the
left
lung
needs
to
give
space
to
the
heart.
The
right
lung
has
3
lobes
because
this
lung
is
the
one
who
obsorbes
the
oxygen
and
the
left
lung
has
2
lobes
because
it
is
the
one
who
lets
out
the
carbon
dioxide.
So
the
right
lung
is
more
important
than
the
left
lung.
Each
lung
has
a
lot
of
air
sacs
because
the
air
sacs
sort
the
oxygen
and
the
outside
air.
Diseases:
There
are
a
lot
of
diseases
in
the
Respiratory
System;
some
diseases
are
very
common
such
as
Lung
Cancer,
Respiratory
Failure,
Asthma
and
Chronic
Obstructive
Pulmonary
Disease.
There
also
some
other
diseases
like
the
Euplastic
Disease
and
the
Vascular
and
Hemodynamic
Disease.
Lung
Cancer:
Lung
Cancer
can
be
caused
by
smoking
or
environment
problems.
This
disease
is
the
uncontrolled
growth
in
abnormal
cells
in
your
lungs.
As
they
grow
they
can
interfere
with
functioning
with
the
lung.
Chronic
Obstructive
Pulmonary
Disease
(C.O.P.D.):
Chronic
Obstructive
Pulmonary
Disease
also
known
as
C.O.P.D
is
a
disease
related
to---
Chronic
Asthma,
Chronic
Bronchitis
and
Emphysema.
It
makes
it
increasingly
difficult
for
suffers
to
breathe,
and
it
will
also
cause
wheezing.
Asthma:
