STANDARD BOILER WATER TREATMENT
Consists of the following chemicals
GC ------------------- Initial dosage 0.15 litres / tonne of boiler water
Adjunct ------------ Initial dosage !0 grams / tonne of boiler water
Amer"ine --------------- Initial dosage - 0.15 litre / tonne of boiler water
#$CC-A ---------------- Initial dosage 0.15 litres/ tonne of boiler water
GC and Adjunct are to be dosed when the %-al&alinit' and the %hos%hate %%m are
a%%roaching their lower control limits res%ecti(el' and de%end on the s'stem ca%acit'. Amer"ine
and #$CC- are to be dosed on a dail' basis using a metering %um% or a tan& and flow meter
arrangement. )he a%%ro*imate dail' dosage of Amer"ine would be in the range of 0.5 + ,.0
litres / da'. #$CC-A dosages would be in the range of around 0., + 1.0 litres / da'.
AGK-100 BOILER WATER TREATMENT
It is a one shot treatment and when using this treatment the -'drate Al&alinit' has to be tested
for. )he other control tests %erformed when using this treatment are for .hos%hates/ -'dra"ine/
condensate %- and conducti(it' / chlorides. It is absolutely essetial t!at "oo# $uality
#istille# %ate& be use# as 'a(e u) %!e usi" AGK-100 as t!e boile& %ate& t&eat'et* It is
also essential to dose this chemical dail' o(er a ,0 hour %eriod using a metering %um% or a tan&
and flow meter arrangement. )he initial dosage would be a%%ro*imatel' ,.5 + 5.0 litres / tonne of
boiler water. )he a%%ro*imate dail' dosage would be 0.! + 1 litre / da'.

COOLING WATER TREATMENTS
DEWT - NC
1ewt 4C corrosion inhibitor is used in cooling water s'stems. )he initial dosage is !., &gs /
tonne of s'stem water. )he re5uired %%m to be then maintained is !000 + 0500. )he 5uantit' of
1ewt 4C to be dosed to maintain this %%m will de%end on the maintenance carried out and the
lea&ages in the s'stem. It is essential to use good 5ualit' distilled water as ma&e u% when using
1ewt 4C as the cooling water treatment.
LI./IDEWT
$i5uidewt is used in cooling water s'stems when the 5ualit' of ma&e u% is not (er' good/
es%eciall' when using shore water. )he initial dosage of $i5uidewt is 6 litres / tonne of s'stem
water. 10000 + 15000 %%m is the %roduct concentration to be maintained. )he 5uantit' of
$i5uidewt to be dosed to maintain this %%m will de%end on the maintenance carried out and the
lea&ages in the s'stem.
