Good afternoon and prosperous greeting to you.
We said thanks for our God, because God bless us, and I can stand here at this place with
healthy without any troubles. Before I started my speech, its better I introduce my self. My
name is Kharina areeisty. My nick name is kharin. I am collegian at State University of Medan. I
am third semester in faculty of mathematics and natural science. I am Standing here, I would
like to present my speech about Why do I study English?.
Ladies and gentlemen.
You have to know, English is very important in our live. Why I say that? Because,
English is very universal and used for communicate among people around the world. when
people with different languages come together they commonly use English to communicate.
other reason why English so important is you can get many friends from other country. And
make your live be easy.
Ladies and gentlemen,
I think English very important. because this language can exist everywhere. like, on the
computer, the internet, even in mobilephone. From this statement we can know that many
advantage from study english. And if you can speak English fluently, you will get a good job
easily and you can around the world easily without trouble. And if you cant speak English, you
will hard to get a good job and hard to get new friend from another country.
For me as collegian, to get a bachelor, Of course I must get score TOEFL 400 . If under
400 scores, should you repeat until the value is above 400 scores. Unfortunately no body a
college must repeat their thesis because their TOEFL score isnt enough. And a scholar who is an
absolute must master the English language is a scholar who plans to continue his education up to
the postgraduated. When to pass bachelor should have TOEFL 400 scores, to take the
postgraduated we should have a TOEFL 480-500 scores. And postgraduated to be a lecturer or
lecturer candidates. as a lecturer or professor, of course we have to master the English language,
the lecturer cant be defeated to the English speaking their college.
Master the English language is also one of the absolute requirement to obtain a
postgraduate scholarship .Nowdays, many offer graduate scholarships for scholars in Indonesia ,
both for college in the country and abroad. All scholarships are requires mastery of English , who
isnt free take college in abroad? so, if you want get a scholarship to abroad, you have to can
speak English fluently.
Ladies and gentlemen.
There is a aphorism, If you can speak English, you will be able to control the world so
easily. However, there are still many people who can not speak english. The main reason is they
are lazy to learn english , because its not used to being in their daily lives. Some of Indonesian
people may be think that its not necessary to be able to master english , because we live in
indonesia,we speak indonesian language, and all our families are indonesian people. The others
think that english is difficult lesson, so they are reluctant to learn english. But from now, we have
to change our mind . Why ? Because we lives in modern era ,we have to compete with the other
people. We have to reach our dream. It will be happen if can communicate in english, right ?
there are so many information we can get from the Internet. Its very useful for us as students.
By internet , we can find information about everything to support our school. It will be easier if
we know english well.
Moreover, English is fun language and we can learn English in some easy ways. Well,
now let me tell you. First, with memorize vocabularies at least 10 vocabularies in a day. Second,
learn English grammar. After that, listening English song. And then practice your English in
your daily activity. never give up or be afraid for mistakes. Because, English has to be practiced.
And finally you follow English competition. Like speech, poetry,and many more.
Thats all about my speech. And the conclusion that the English is very important so
much. So, start now your action because theres no late word. Well, ladies and gentlemen for
