1.0 Introduction

1.1 Thesis Statement:
Technology impacts the the sustainability of resources by depleting fuel resources for
higher standards of living, yet provides an alternative by developing renewable energy source,
and development in technology gives birth to new branches in resource maintenance.

2.0 1st Point:
Technology depletes fuel resources for higher standards of living
Advanced technology provide better living standards to human beings.
More and more energy is needed to power up vehicles, machineries etc for standard
living.
Traces of carbon footprint cannot be controlled and measured.
Global warming damages ecosystem, and damages clean freshwater source.
Therefore advancement in technology slowly damages the available resrouces required
for the general wellbeing of living organisms on Earth.

3.0 2nd Point:
Technology develops renewable energy source
Development in technology now enables countries to utilise other energy resources
such as wind energy in Holland, solar energy, hydro energy and wave energy in
France.
Such breakthroughs is hoped to replace the non-renewable fuel source such as coal
and natural gases.

Biodegradable materials are utilised in the place of plastics in order to reduce the
amount of man-made trash that obstructs life cycles of many organisms.
Technology develops biomass fuel that could easily be obtained from human or animal
wastes and therefore serves as an alternative to replace coal and natural gases

4.0 3rd point:
Development in technology gives birth to new branches in resource maintanence.
Other than opening up more job opportunities, an increased workforce in resource
management enables better management in dealing with natural resources.
People will be more aware about the depleting natural resources
Resources management becomes a major field of management science and gains
public recogniton
With awareness comes action.

5.0 Conclusion:

Even though vast usage of technology in our daily lives depletes natural resources at a high
rate, the advancement of technology also brings about the development of new technologies that
enable us to utilise many alternative energy resources. Awareness in protecting natural resources
urges birth of branches in resource management, which allows greater workforce in sustaining
resources for the wellbeing and survival of all species on planet Earth.
