Award of Excellence given by Bharat Vikas Parishad for securing first position(97.2%) in Patiala in CBSE Class X Examinations. IITD Semester Merit Award : Awarded Merit Certificate for lying in the Top 7% students in the institute during first, third and fourth semesters of study at IIT Delhi. (SGPA: 9.11, 9.25, 9.627 respectively).Currently Dept. Rank 1 in the Mathematics Department. NSO : Secured a National Rank of 37 in NSO (Science Olympiad) 2011. Among top 0.1% to score 100% marks in AISSE-2009 in Mathematics and Social Science Examination. Among top 0.1% to score 99% marks in AISSCE-2011 in Mathematics. Course Projects 3-d Bike Racing Game (July, 2013 - Present) : Developing a 3-d bike racing game in C++ using OpenGL. Devleoped fully functional libraries for Terrain redering, texture mapping, object rendering, physics engine and game HUD (developed using Qt) along with a GUI (Keyboard+ Mouse). Graph Algorithms (Jan, 2013 - Feb, 2013) : Implemented Kruskal's Algorithm to generate MST using Disjoint Set Union-Find data structure with path compression. Also implemented Prim's algorithm using binary heap to find the MST. Designed a Java program to find the chromatic number of a graph using Greedy algorithms and implemented a GUI to demonstrate the output. Optimal State Assignment (Sept, 2012 - Nov, 2012) : Presented a strategy for finding a state assignment of a FSM, which heuristically minimizes the combination logic implementation. Gave an algorithmic approach that involved manipulating the Karnaugh map to minimize the covering. ADTs in Java (Feb, 2012 - May, 2012) : Constructed a k-dimensional tree in Java which could answer nearest neighbor queries. Implemented a Dictionary using both Hashtables and Tries to compute possible anagrams for a given word. Implemented MinHeaps for job-scheduling using shortest remaining time first algorithm. Internships Summer Intern(NTHU, Taiwan) (May, 2013 - July, 2013) : Summer Internship on Numerical and Scientific Computation at the Department of Mathematics, National TsingHua University(NTHU), Taiwan. Assisted In code management and implementation of functions(Fortran and C) involving a new approach of point selection for The kernel-free boundary integral (KFBI) method for general elliptic partial differential equations. Independent Projects Unsolved Graph Theory Problem (Feb, 2013 - Apr, 2013) : Attemptted to settle the question of existence of a Moore graph of girth 5 and degree 57, by explicit construction. Made an algorthimic formulation of the problem and implemented a construction scheme that tried a certain pattern of vertex permutation to build the graph, currently unsuccessful. Java, C, C++, Fortran, OCaml, Matlab, VHDL, Latex Theatre, Economics, Graphs, EPL, Tennis, Newshour debates.
