Story
Emmas was established in 2007 and is solely
owned and operated by Chef Kim Stacey who
resides in Eastern Passage and has been
working as the head chef to promote naturally
nutritious and traditional meals from scratch
using fresh ingredients from local suppliers
and producers.
The philosophy at Emmas incorporates a
live-work balance for both staff and customers
by offering a healthy environment not only to
eat but to work and learn. Our vision of our
sustainable business model includes re-in-
vesting our revenues into the community
through our hiring, purchasing and
recycling processes.
We have been recognized province-wide for our
traditional Fishcakes inspired by Chef Kim Stac-
eys Newfoundland heritage in Burin Peninsula,
for which we have won Best of Food awards
by the Coast in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Emmas is a proud member of Taste of Nova
Scotia, and has been actively involved with
Slow Food Nova Scotia and Nova Scotia
Food Policy Council. Our recipes have been
featured on Tastes of Adventure Chowder
Trail and Halifax Tastes cookbook by
Nimbus publishing.
