Career Objective To gain employment as a Town Planner/ Environmental Planner at a
company where I can use my strong communication, advocacy, negotiation and teamwork skills and
to be a hardworking, dedicated member and build on my skills and learn from an experienced
company within the planning and development industry.

Experience

November 2013 - March 2014 Town Planner, Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR),
Project Planning and Corridor Management (Gold Coast)
Experience - Worked in the land management team in assessing development applications for
DTMR.
- Working within the Sustainable Planning Act 2009, Transport Infrastructure Act 1997
and other planning legislation.
- Working with the SARA frameworks.
- Ability to work as part of a team, consulting with Engineers and technical
professionals in order to meet deadlines and desired outcomes.
- Completed site analysis report, site visit, assessment reporting, attended meetings
and planning forums.
- Attained strong analytical skills when completing Development Assessment of
Development Applications such as commercial uses, residential and industrial

board members in the provision of expenditure and income of events.

Responsibilities - Responsible for the coordination of events for planning and environmental students
with the cooperation of other event organisers within PEGS, including monthly events
and PEGS Ball.
- Responsible for the coordination of sports PEGS sports teams for PEGS members
to be involved in.

Experience -Worked regularly for Liquorland, first gaining employment in Coffs Harbour, and then
transferring to the Labrador store in the Gold Coast, and now the store in Miami.

pressure. Have the ability to work in a business focussed environment involving
money handling and customer service skills
-Continued with this job while undertaking my studies, which allowed me to develop

2013 PIA Planning Awards, Student Project Award Excellence and Commendation, Griffith
University (Gold Coast)
-Received the Queensland PIA award for Excellence and Commendation for a student
project. A Climate Change Management Plan for South East Queensland was prepared in a
team of five other students for a third year planning subject. Our report was recommended by
course convenor and received an award at the Queensland Planning Awards.
-Ability to work in a team environment to achieve a high quality document.
