fidence and interest in Englis reading by participating in extensive reading programs,
0o1ever# te foc!s of tose researces and programs as remained only in elping lear
ners read many boo+s and 1rite reading %o!rnals as a relevant activity, Tis as again
led to te fail!re in incorporating te fo!r factors of reading, Moreover# tey ave not
actively integrated fo!r s+ills of lang!age2 listening# spea+ing# reading# and 1riting,
Terefore# te p!rpose of tis st!dy lies in developing and applying an extensive re
ading model tat act!ali7es te factors of reading and te caracteristics of extensive r
eading as 1ell as integration of fo!r s+ills of Englis, Te Extensive Reading Program
.ERP/ made according to te developed extensive reading model ad been applied to 8
9 middle scool st!dents in te tird grade, Te st!dents ad 8: classes 1ic 1ere ta
+en once a 1ee+, Te res!lts of te ERP based on te extensive reading model are as

Tis modified extensive reading model not only enables st!dents to do meaningf!l re
ading by incorporating te factors of reading b!t also reali7es te ten caracteristics of
