SURFACTANTS
ALKOPON NS Sodium Lauryl Sulfate 30% clear liquid
Anionic surfactant with excellent detergency, foaming and viscosity building power. Used in
laundry products, hand dishwashing detergents, hard surface cleaners, glass cleaners and carpet
shampoos, among others.
ALKOPON 28 ECO Liquid sodium lauryl ether (2) sulfate 28% clear liquid
ALKOPON ECO line is produced with lauryl alcohol from palm kernel oil and ethylene oxide from
sugar cane. Its carbon is 100%renewable vegetable derived from renewable sources and it is
biodegradable. Combining performance, easy of handling and cost-beneft to the consumers
demands for friendly cleaning products, ALKOPON ECO is the best choice as a primary surfactant
or base detergent for automotive shampoos, liquid soaps, degreasing liquid soaps, carpet and
glass cleaning liquid detergents, multi-purpose cleaners, dish and cloth washing liquid detergents
and others.

ALKOPON N Liquid sodium lauryl ether (2) sulfate 28% clear liquid
Anionic surfactants with excellent detergency and foaming properties. These surfactants are
milder and more hard water tolerant than SLS. Used in laundry products, hand dishing detergents,
hard surface cleaners, degreasers, car and truck wash and liquid soaps.

ULTRAPEG Polyethylene Glycols

Low molecular weight PEGs (200 to 400 g/mol) are used in non-aqueous detergents as enzymes
stabilizing agents. PEGs with an average molecular weight of 400 to 600 g/mol are used as
humectants in bar soaps, providing mildness and reducing the appearance of cracks in the bar.
Higher MW PEGs are used as binders, lubricants and antistat agents.
ALKEST TW 20 Sorbitan monolaurate 20 EO yellowish liquid, viscous and odorless High HLB emulsifers. Using ALKEST TW products with products from the ALKEST SP line forms an
excellent emulsifer system. Used in furniture polishes, foor waxes, leather polishes, car waxes and
other hard surface polishes. The ALKEST TW line products can also be used as fragrance solubilizers
and for formulation clarity and freeze control.
ALKEST TW 60 Sorbitan monostearate 20 EO yellowish pasty liquid
ALKEST TW 80 Sorbitan monooleate 20 EO yellowish to ambar viscous liquid
ULTRADET R 540 Ethoxylated hydrogenated castor oil 54 EO yellowish paste
Water soluble non-ionic surfactant, compatible with cationic bactericidal products.
Used in formulations for clear pine oil based disinfectants.
ULTRAMONA RH 400 Ethoxylated hydrogenated castor oil 40 EO viscous or pasty liquid
An emulsifer, antistat, dispersant and lubricant for degreasers, paper, textile, leather, plastic, metal
treatment and cutting oil products. Used to solubilize fragrances.
ALKONT CM3003 Cocamide MEA slightly yellow fakes
Non-ionic surfactants used in hand dishwashing detergents, laundry products, hard surface
cleaners and liquid soaps. In combination with anionic surfactants, they stabilize foam and build
viscosity. They aid grease cutting.

ALKONT CM3025 Cocamide MEA 2,5 EO
clear liquid
100%active non-ionic surfactants, having no concerns with free diethanolamines. May be used to
reduce cloud point in formulations. Present rich and stable foaming when in synergy with anionic
surfactants, also reducing the amount of electrolyte used to thicken the viscosity formulation.
ALKONT CM3025 gives better viscosity response than ALKONT CM3050. Both products provide
very mild formulations.

Non-ionic surfactants with low foam and antifoaming properties in the presence of fatty acids salts.

Triethanolamine 85 (TEA)

Alkali and neutralizing agents. Useful to neutralize alkylbenzenesulfonic acids. Triethanolamine
99W contains 5 to 8%water thus lowering its freeze-point and facilitating its handling. TEA is used
