Study of the existing pattern of qualitative data.
Study of the methods currently used for the analysis of qualitative data. Assigning variables to qualitative data. Performing basic statistics like Mean, Median , Mode, Standard deviation etc. on the data. Generating interaction matrix for the assigned variables to find the interrelationships between the variables. Making inferences from the analyzed data. Comparing the inferences from new approach adopted and the previous methods.
Cost Economics of EIA In any comprehensive EIA one should study the impact of all possible indicators. But such an exercise will be cumbersome, costly, and time consuming. It is therefore desirable to seek a method by which one can assess the relative importance if the impacting indicators and can draw up a hierarchical relationship among them. Techniques presently available for the above problem are ISM(Interpretive structural modeling) and MICMAC (cross impact matrix-multiplication applied to classification). A software package is developed using above two techniques. The name of the software is INTRA- A METHODOLOGY FOR THE SELECTION OF MOST INFLUENTIAL PARAMETERS FOR STUDY SO AS TO REDUCE THE COST OF EIA. Study of ISM process (Reachability and Transitive inference) Definition of indicators. Developing a binary matrix(Adjacency matrix) Obtaining reachability matrix. Obtaining hierarchical matrix. Developing the digraphs. Example of a adjacency matrix V1 V2 V3 V1 1 0 1 V2 1 1 O V3 0 0 1
Study of MICMAC process Study of MICMAC principle Stabilization of fuzzy matrix. Key indicators. Behavioural classification of the system indicators. After having thorough knowledge of the existing techniques on parameter optimization, developing new techniques and pathways to reach a feasible number of parameters. New techniques may involve Taking parameters in terms of PIUs(Parameter importance units) that is having some importance factor for each parameter. Assigning damaging factors to parameters and calculating PDFs(parameter damaging factors).
